Pleasanton Independent School District Pleasanton, TXDistrict Systems Support 1/2004-8/2010Designed and maintained multi-page dynamic website for Pleasanton ISD which included, 5 district department websites, seven campus websites, seven library websites and a high school counseling website. Implemented and trained teachers on Moodle for teacher web sites.

District administrative support that oversaw a staff of three in maintaining a accurate inventory, the distribution, the repairs of the iBooks, and was in charge creating a database for the iBook inventory, of replacing the lost or damaged iBooks and of re-imaging and overseeing two staff member assisting in up dating the inventory for 1200 iBooks for the one-to-one initiative. (The one to one initiative was an Apple program that loaned all the high school students iBook computers to use at school and at home during the school year.)

Designed multi color 2-sided recruiting brochure, business card and school logo and standing billboards for the Human Resources. Designed and produced multimedia presentations for district and all campuses.

Trained and supported staff and teachers on two student information systems and teacher grade books. Technical support and instructional support for students testing on computers. Coordinated and facilitated webinars/ video-conferencing for entire district.

Jourdanton, TXJourdanton Community Library Assistant Librarian 3/1999-1/2004Coordinated installation and application of library database, cataloging over 23,000 items.

Worked checkout desk, assisted patrons with research and trained patrons on using the computers and computer software. Utilized graphic and design skills in creating and maintaining library web site, designing the library logo for the library card, envelopes, letterhead, business cards and design database in Microsoft Access for magazine inventory, as well as for overdue book.

CompDent-Texas Dental Plans San Antonio, TXProduction Artist 2/1995-10/1998Worked with a team as a full service production artist in charge of updating information in all form of sales materials for multiple dental plans companies’ (dentist lists, fee schedules, forms, brochures, catalogs, manuals).

Worked with the team in the designing new sales packets, ads, and logos. Collected for output for 4/color and spot color off-site sales materials. Assisted in setup procedures for updating and laying out of over 170 dentists lists, directly from databases and kept them updated bi-monthly and monthly.

Worked with Xerox DocuTech staff in printing in-house sales materials.

iPixelations Pleasanton, TXFreelance Desk and Web Publishing 8/1996-12/2003Designing logos, flyers, brochures, promotional packets and programs and creating web sites for local businesses.

Freelance design in charge of laying out a 16 page 2-color free newspaper (scanning, editing and color correcting image, selling then creating ads of all sizes. QuarkXPress was used to layout the newspaper (Town Tidbit Newspaper 1998 – 1999).

Worked with printers in setting up off sit printing, including getting bids for 4-color CMYK documents and 2 color Pantones, or Spot colors. Prepared preflight documents to insure the printer had the all the fonts, images and documents needed to complete the print order. Proofed printers color proofs.
