My mission is to help organizations and communities attain their fundraising, public relations and social media goals in the
most efficient, thoughtful and high quality way possible.
Education Experience Public Speaking
-Bachelor of Arts With Honors, Middle Eastern
Studies, The University of Texas at Austin (1977) -

-Master of Arts, Art History, The Honor Society of Phi
Kappa Phi, The University of Texas at Austin (1985) -

-Between the two university degrees, I took
additional courses, securing even more university
credits and a minor in art history.
-Continuing education has been undertaken for the
duration of my career. CFRE International maintains
its own documentation (since 2004).
Certified nonprofit fundraising executive since 2004
and continuously recertified. Carolyn M. Appleton,
Inc., a one-person company, was formed in 2007 after
years of freelance work with major gift and special
project fundraising efforts (six figure and larger).
Work conducted ranges from campaign conception
and strategy development to detailed
implementation; social media platform development
and ongoing management; public relations activities
in support of positive community relations (including
situations where damage control has been needed).

than 200 countries.

Elected to The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi
during graduate school (still a member today),
recipient of the Meredith Long Scholarship in
American Art.
