Newsletter Week 9 [email protected]
Our special events, the Year 6 Farewell and Disco and the Presentation Day and Performance are getting close. The Year
6 Farewell and Disco is being held next Wednesday night, 9 December starting at 6pm. Younger siblings and K-6
students are invited to attend the disco at a cost of $5. Parents and older siblings are welcome to stay to join us for
dinner and for the Graduation cake at the completion of the disco. Don’t forget to let Mrs Seymour know what type of
food your family is bringing. Please note that a plate of food per child is required, so if you have a large family, please
bring/send in a larger quantity.
Presentation Day and Performance is being held on Friday 11 December, beginning at 9am sharp, so as to beat the
heat. Children will be required to be at school at 8.30am in order to get dressed in their costumes. There will be a short
break between the Performance and Presentation for students to dress in their school uniform (if parents could assist
with this, we would greatly appreciate it) and for parents, guests and friends to have a cup of tea, coffee or a cold drink
and some morning tea, which will be provided. The Presentation will be held upstairs in the classrooms and afterwards,
the Cash Cows will have a BBQ lunch available to purchase. A program will be available on the day.
Our Early Starters program finishes next Wednesday, but we hope to see Rivva, Preston and Ashtyn at the Disco and
Presentation Day and look forward to working with them next year.
Our Year 5 students will present their School Leader Speeches at assembly this afternoon. K-6 students will vote
tomorrow morning to decide The Carroll Public School Captain, Vice-Captain and Sports Captain for 2016.
Carroll students are encouraged to attend the Carols by Candlelight in Gunnedah at Wolsley Park this Friday night at
6.30pm and will be performing an item. Thank you to Mr Brown, Ms McWilliams and Mrs Seymour for preparing the
children for this performance.
This Friday will be the last Swimming session for the year. Thank you to the instructors and teachers for making this
worthwhile activity available to our students. Don’t forget that students will be having an extra hour at the pool this
Friday and are invited to bring or purchase their lunch.
