3. What event does this cartoon deal with? The takeoverof the world by the Axis powers during WWII.

4. What action is taking place? The Axis powers aredividing up the world amongst themselves; Hitler isclearly the most powerful as he holds the large knifeand is acting as the butcher.

5. What is the purpose of the cartoon? To warn the worldof the ambitions of the Axis powers, and theconsequences of inaction.

6. In your opinion, is this cartoon supportive of the actiontaking place? Why/why not? This cartoon is opposed toworld takeover by the Axis powers; this is madeobvious through its unflattering portrayal of the threeleaders, the darkened room the meeting is taking placein since usually only “negative” events occur in thedark by candlelight, and the lack of input by anyoneelse in the world which shows that they are taking overthe world without anyone else having a say.
