SB Series Basses

SB4000 & SB5000 Carvin’s SB Series basses feature entirely new bolt on necks. The SB4000 is based on a traditional 20 fret jazz style neck. The rounded neck heel allows comfortable playability to the last fret and its retro-style body features front and rear contours for hours of comfortable playing. The 22 fret SB5000 5-string has become extremely popular among pro players world-wide. Both models boast a pair of J99A single coil pickups which feature Alnico V magnets. Bolt-on Hardrock Maple Neck with Ebony Fingerboard

The BN bolt on 6-string neck has several advantages over a stock Strat® neck including a 2-way adjustable truss rod. The tilt back headstock eliminates the need for a string tree and provides crisper open notes. Includes slotted graphite nut by Graphtech. Carvin’s exclusive diamond fingerboard grinding process is accurate to within one thousandth of an inch. Medium jumbo frets. 12” radiused Ebony fingerboard with 22 frets and 251/2 scale. Fits 21 or 22 fret Strats & many other guitars.

Through the Body NecksThese eastern hardrock maple necks are for through-the-body construction making it relatively easy for an experienced wood worker to build a quality guitar. All Carvin necks come with 24 medium jumbo .103 high x .048 tall frets, an ebony fingerboard, angled headstock, graphite nut and dot inlays on the top and side. 2-way adjustable truss rod.

The C22 Classic Series comes standard on most Carvin guitars. Seasoned Alnico 5 mag-nets give the warmth and sweetness of an exceptional sounding 50’s guitar. With the close spacing of the pole pieces, you won’t get dropoff when bending strings. Adjustable pole pieces allow you to increase or decrease the volume of individual strings.
