Paul Essig is the Information Technology Manager at Always At Market. It is his job to manage the maintenance of all of his company’s computers and minimize their down time. Essig helped install Endicia’s soſtware on three systems in their shipping warehouse. Paul Essig describes Endicia: “Endicia and Galaxy Ship do a good job of integrating our shipping process. By using Galaxy Ship, Endicia has saved us approximately 15%-20% of our time. We no longer worry about our shipping.” Endicia’s Role. Prior to using Endicia, Always At Market was using the U.S. Postal Service’s shipping soſtware. Following the recommendation from their Postal Representative, Always At Market switched to Endicia in May of 2005. The transition was simple and Always At Market has been an Endicia customer ever since. Always At Market subscribes to Endicia’s Professional service plan and uses the Galaxy Ship program. Galaxy Ship allows Always At Market to create a bridge between their database and DAZzle, Endicia’s label and postage printing application. Galaxy Ship reads shipping address data from the Always At Market database and lets them select the desired weight, mail class, and optional services. Once that information is received, Endicia’s address verification technology makes sure the domestic address is correctly entered. A postage-paid, ramp- ready shipping label is then printed from either a Zebra LP 2844 label printer or another high capacity Zebra printer. Paul appreciates the flexibility and ease of use Endicia offers him. Even though he has installed Galaxy Ship on three different computers, Always At Market only needs one account with Endicia. While Always At Market does not utilize the email notification function provided by Endicia, they do place the tracking numbers on their website where customers can check the status of their purchase. Always At Market ships approximately 85% to 90% of all of their shipments through the U.S. Postal Service and Endicia. They send all of their items out either Priority Mail or First Class Parcel. Since Always At Market sends more than $5,000 of packages via Priority Mail each month, they now qualify for free Endicia service under Endicia’s expanded partnership with the U.S. Postal Service. The Future. Endicia has allowed Always At Market to spend more of their time on growing their business. eCom- merce, specifically auction site transactions are increasing and Essig sees Always At Market’s growth mimicking that of the industry. In addition, the company plans to continue to sell high quality watches and jewelry at competitive prices. By utilizing Endicia’s Professional service, Always At Market will be able to efficiently handle the added business and keep customers happy. It was with this knowledge that House founded Always At Market in 2001. Always At Market primarily functions as a sourcing and fulfillment house. In addition to their core competen- cies, Always At Market provides a long list of services including auction administration, auction site hosting, auction intelligence, an online auction engine, order management, fulfillment, drop shipping, purchasing, creative design, content development and imaging, marketing support strategies and execution, and customer relation- ship management and services.
