Project Overview – The Problem

• Offshore-Multimedia project• 9 parts catalogue • Time delivery of this project we have very

less time i.e. till Nov end - anyhow we need to accept the challenge of timely

delivery- We can not compromise on quality

• Need some innovation for implementation of Catalogue

Project Goals

• Make a web based application/module where Dealers can place Parts order with easy navigation, multimedia effects & with clicks only.

• Search best alternative with automated technology for time and money saving

• Search best alternative with automated technology for finish human error when manually sketching of the parts catalogue

Note: We have only PDF format of the Parts Catalogue from Clint side.

Technical Objective

• Make a automated process where PDF file extract and convert into flash file

• Flash file should be in Victor graphic for endless zoom without distraction

• File size should not exceed • Fully editable• Using legal software

Non-Technical Issues

• It was difficult to find expert sketcher for short term contract basis yet fresh candidates are easily available but they can not give quality within time

• Hardware & software was also required for 5-6 people

• Quality check was a huge task after manual sketching because there are many chances for missing parts, lines, parts number etc.

Technologies & Process

Import in Flash 8 in Scenes at 300 Resolution

Including Invisible Layers &Rasterizing Everything

Import BMP Images in Coral Draw, select image &click on Trace Bitmap forExporting in Coral Trace

Start tracing by clicking “DoTrace”. Here one BMP Images

Break into approx 30-60thousands Objects/Lines.

Select traced image & Click on Ungroup All and Del.

Unwanted parts No. etc.

Export It at 72 Resolution as SWF

Attach & publish in applicationfor placing parts order with easy navigation, multimedia

Effects & by clicking only
