Project brief

Supply and lay of 720 tonnes of asphalt to repair the main runway at Stansted

airport. Works were carried out overnight, so not to disturb day to day

operations.

Delivery

Experienced in airport works, our team’s planning adhered to strict security

measures and timeframes.

To ensure works were not delayed, plant and material were delivered to site

ahead of each shift and all security passes and checks were in place, and

operatives ready to go, by the time the last aircraft had departed.

The teams were each assigned a patch of runway in need of repair, which they

resurfaced with 10 SMA PMB, a high-durability asphalt mix with greater

resistance to rutting and cracking.
