Introduction Tehri Hydro Electric Corporation Ltd (THDC), is a joint
venture Company. THCD planned to begin Vishnugad Pipalkoti Hydro
Electric Project. Project is to produce 444 MW. According to the Indian national policy, the Company is
responsible for rehabilitation of displaced people who'll be affected from the project.
Company had decided to employ professional social workers to work as an intermediary.
THDC has paid out Rs. 67.09 million towards Resettlement & Rehabilitation assistance. (http://www.worldbank.org)

A Social Worker must have continued Training and development of the Staff.
They need to Draw a code of ethics. SW must be Confident in the company leadership, and to
indicate inspiration to some people. They must be first tested for their personality, attitudes,
strengths, and motivational skills. SW must be given with a PEOPLE HELP Goal. Specific
goal give direction of the task. SW must be the decision maker to make decisions on the
spot. Be the best co-operator among the company and the
community.
