    In addition, ten local fiction writers will have a chanceto work in a small group setting with Hill. In a masterlevel class entitled The Art and Business of Creative Writ-ing Fiction: a Master Class with Lawrence Hill.

    This workshop is at the Selkirk College Mir Centre forPeace on the Castlegar Campus on April 23 and 24 and isfree for selected writers residing within the West Koote-nay-Boundary region. To apply, writers must submit a 10

     – 15 page manuscript of fiction to Almeda Glenn Miller [email protected] no later than March 1. Initial submis-sions will be juried by Selkirk College creative writinginstructors and then short listed submissions will be juriedby Hill. Ten students will be selected and all candidateswill be notified by early April as to whether their submis-sions are successful. Proof of residency is required.
