The Catalan HPH network
The Catalan network was promoted in 2007, promoted by 11 hospitals but It started its activity in 2008 when HPH approved its constitution
Currently it is constituted by 21 health care organizations (of these 18 hospitals).

It has the support of the Chair on Health Promotion of the University of Girona that works as Secretary of the network.
It has the support of Public Health Agency of the Health Department of Catalan Government
Design of the 2011-2014 Action Plan
In 2011 a Strategic Plan for the period 2011-2014 was created with the main objective of accomplish the HPH international Action Plan.

Design of the 2011-2014 Action Plan
The Catalan strategic plan has 7 working areas divided in 32 objectives to be achieved in four years.
3 stages
1. First step: Creation of the Catalan HPH Strategic Plan related to the international Action Plan.
2. Second step: Implementation. Including an evaluation each month with a final evaluation each year during the period 2011-2014.
3. Third step: Final evaluation ending the Strategic Plan period in 2014 and concluding with a new Strategic Plan for the next period.

The Strategic Plan 2011-2014 is divided in 7 areas, each one with its objectives:

RESULTS
Ending the year 2012, after two years since the creation of the work plan, from a global of 33 objectives:
18 achieved 7 IN process 6 pending 1 deleted
From the 6 pending objectives, 5 were written to be accomplishing in 2012.
CONCLUSIONSThe creation of the Strategic Plan 2011-2014 allowed the Catalan HPH Network being more effective. The work plan, established with a 4 year projection, was achieved 55% the second year. Having a strategic plan has been important to achieve the goals set by the HPH international network effectively.
