Making our best even better is what our engineers accomplished for the newly redesigned 3XL subwoofer series. Combining a new bold look with the innovation that the 3XL series is known for, PowerBass created our most accomplished “Class D Subwoofer” to date.

The 3XL series have been designed to withstand the extreme heat that the new generation Class “D” amplifiers create. Class “D” amplifiers heat up the woofers voice coil two to three times hotter and faster than a conventional class A/B amplifier. This calls for Xtreme measures and special parts to classify these as a true “Class D Subwoofer”. But hey, this is PowerBass. We have it under control.

First, we use industrial assembly glues that handle this excessive heat that would normally tear a conventional subwoofer apart. Then there is perimeter venting to allow air movement over the voice coil built into our custom cut, cast aluminum basket. The basket works as a strong foundation for our heavy duty non-pressed raw pulp paper cone and redesigned inverted X dustcap. The roughness of the cone breaks up standing long waves for an even louder output resulting in greater SPL.

The 3XL Subwoofers all feature 3” HD BASV voice coil formers and CCAW high temperature voice coil winding to help dissipate heat. To allow full movement of the cone, we utilize an ultra high roll (U-turn) treated foam surround that increases the cone area for higher output along with linear cone stability throughout the subwoofers 3” of peak to peak excursion.

To make sure high voltages from the amplifier reach the subwoofers, we designed Pro-Lock terminals and incorporated FEA optimized Xtra Xtra Xtra large dual stacked magnets to handle the high power these subwoofers are designed for.

3XL Subwoofers are available in 12” and 15” sizes in either dual 1-OHM or dual 2-OHM versions to maximize your amplifiers power.

Our new 2XL Subwoofers have been completely redesigned for 2013. Now designed to work in small sealed or ported enclosures, the 2XL Subwoofer series allows for audiophile sound quality at Xtreme sound levels. Featuring a new U-turn High Roll Santoprene surround for increased linear accuracy and a proprietary three layer PP Matrix cone the 2XL series is built to perform. The custom cast

PowerBass XL subwoofers were designed to be bulletproof-reliable with all of the features of the rest of the Xtreme range, but in a more affordable package.

Boasting a custom turbine style frame constructed of polycarbonate and glassfiber, this unique basket supports dual stack magnets and a chrome dome backplate. We utilize a combination of perimeter and pole venting to keep air circulating over the voice coil so everything stays cool.

A paper cone was selected for its natural smooth bass reproduction and its ability to provide high output with low distortion even under the stress of high SPL. Finally, to make sure the power gets to the subwoofer, we used chrome push terminals for maximum current transfer.

The XL subwoofers are Xtremely versatile and offer amazingly low bass whether installed in a small sealed enclosure or ported enclosure and are available in 8”, 10”, 12”, 15” (8 inch model is a single 4-ohm woofer).

For those looking for a complete solution, we have developed a loaded enclosure featuring our small but mighty XL-84 woofer. The XL-WB8 loaded enclosure is tuned to 30Hz to ensure smooth, low and deep bass utilizing theleast amount of space possible. At last, a versatile solution for efficient high power bass that can fit almost anywhere.

Recently redesigned, these PowerBass Xtreme XTA

amplifiers were developed to work best with PowerBass

speakers and woofers by using the highest quality parts

while at the same time providing incredible value.

The XTA amplifier starts with a low profile, high density

aluminum heatsink with a massive top plate for

maximum heat dissipation. All new 45˚ brass terminals

were tooled for speaker and power to accept large gauge

wire so these amplifiers can produce the maximum

output to your speakers. Low level RCA inputs AND

outputs are on each model so you can send a full range

signal on to additional amplifiers for a professional and

efficient system design.

Inside the amplifiers, we use a PWM (Pulse Width

Modulated) switching power supply and MOSFET

transistors for increased output voltage. Using top

quality components we can achieve more headroom,

better transients and higher damping which all adds up

to plenty of clean RMS power.

To make sure that the proper signal gets to your

speakers, we have an adjustable 12 dB/octave high pass

crossover with a range 50-250Hz and a low pass

crossover with a range of 40-400Hz all built-in. This

electronic crossover allows for complete flexibility and

makes multiple amplifier applications possible.

To get that low bass bump, we equip each XTA amplifier

with a Bass EQ circuit offering up to 18dB of variable

boost at 45Hz.

To top it all off we have added a stunning blue edge-lit

PowerBass logo in the center of the amplifier that

illuminates when the unit is turned on.

PowerBass is pleased to introduce our newest mini amplifier series, the Xtreme Mini Amplifier (XMA). As today’s vehicles become smaller they present a challenge to find a place for a big amplifier with big power output. The new XMA amplifiers are ideal for tight installations making it possible to put this series in places other amplifiers can’t go.

The XMA amplifiers carry on the tradition of looking good and sounding great while taking up less space than any other amplifier we have ever offered – and smaller than most amps available from the majority of our competitors’ at the same output levels. High efficiency FRD (Full Range Digital) technology allows these amplifiers to operate at well over 85% efficiency.

The XMA amplifiers also feature the latest Internal Rectifier® (IR) circuitry that delivers clean power while not interfering with radio reception. The new IR chipset also delivers more power without rollback, meaning that your music will always be as loud as you want it to be.

Limited space no longer means sacrificing great sound with the new PowerBass XMA Amplifiers.

The XMA Series represents the very latest in Class D amplifier technology. It uses the new IR® (International Rectifier) platform which has been under development for the past several years. IR®, a leader in PWM circuit design, has worked in conjunction with PowerBass engineers to produce more stable power output, minimal RF interference and improved sound quality. We tasked our Engineers to create speakers that would handle the volume, power and clarity that our customers have been asking for.

The New Xtreme X-PRO Series was designed to be able to reproduce full range frequencies at very high volumes while remaining accurate and clear. The XPRO Series midrange speakers are available in 10”, 8” and 6.5” in single 4-ohm or single 8-ohm configurations.

Featuring vented voice coils, large motor struc-tures and treated double roll textile surrounds, the new XPRO midrange has been engineered to blow away the competition.

To match the output of our new midrange speak-ers we have also created the XPRO-4H, a 4-inch Cast Aluminum Horn Tweeter. The XPRO-4H features a 1.75” Voice Coil and 150 watts power handling that allow for excessive distortion free volume. When you need to be louder than the rest, the PowerBass XPRO Series is your solution.

Our new L Series Subwoofers have been engineered to deliver the earth-shaking SPL and smooth bass that SQ purists require. Each L model features a redesigned Injection Molded PP Cone. This cone combines deep bass and distortion free sound. Next we designed a single piece CNC machined back plate with extended pole piece to insure a strong symmetric magnetic field for increased operating efficiency. A sandblast finish was applied for good looks and durability.

To make the bass super tight, our engineers designed Large Roll NBR (Nitrile) Rubber surrounds which allows free movement of the cone for maximum SPL, a large motor structure for high power handling, 2” and 2.5” black Kapton voice coil formers for optimum performance and cooling for maximum heat dissipation.

Our Thin Woofers are only 3.25" deep but don't let its lean size fool you, these woofers are big on bass. We gave our engineers the dificult task of builiding a thin woofer that was up to the Power-Bass reputation of great performance at an excep-tional value.

Starting with our proprietary polycarbonate/glass fiber composite frame, we built a basket that is stronger then steel and lighter then cast alumi-num. Our unique one piece cone is another break through in woofer technology, more durable then paper, this injected molded cone is able to with-stand the abuse that comes from delivering deep bass in a small enclosure.

By adding a tough wide roll rubber surround and 2-inch vented voice coil, we were able to develop a woofer that has the ability to play loud in small places. The PowerBass Thin Woofer makes true bass a reality.

Our A/B Class mono block amplifiers combine our clean low profile design with the necessary features into an economical package that puts power and control at your command. Features like a MOSFET power supply, RCA preamp out, and variable LPF electronic crossover make these ideally suited to add some punch to any system. The ASA-400.1x mono subwoofer amp is a great choice when your’re looking to pound out the bass. With 200 watts, there’s plenty of juice on tap to power our S or M Series single 4-ohm woofers. Wire a pair of 4-ohm woofers in parallel and the ASA-400.1x will kick out a solid 400 watts. Need more power, then step up to the ASA-600.1x. Both amps are stable to 2-ohms and come complete with a wired remote controler with up to 18dB of gain.

To give your subwoofers some serious power at an affordable price, we offer the ASA range in super efficient Class D power. This line offers amplifiers that can provide 1,500 watts to a single woofer - if it can take it. Our Class D ampli-fiers are 1-ohm stable, feature subsonic filters to keep ultra low frequencies from zapping power from where you want them. Bass boost control also gives you the ability to increase your subwoofers output by up to 18 dB at the earth shaking frequency of 40 Hz. PowerBass engineers have designed our new

ACA (Autosound Compact Amplifiers) to fit into

the tightest spaces while providing the largest

sound. The ACA amplifiers boast overbuilt,

ultra efficient, linear power supplies that create

high voltage and ample current. Couple this

with our use of superior parts and the benefit is

huge amounts of dynamic headroom with plenty

of reserve power to produce musical details and

dynamics in a very small package. To handle

all this power in such a small footprint, we

chose double sided fiberglass circuit boards.

The high quality PCB’s feature a clean board

layout consisting of 2 ounce pure copper traces

to maximize the current transferred from the

inputs to the outputs. The net result is low
