What are KaleidEscapes?Do you remember how you felt when you first stood beneath the Eiffel Tower? The steel girders were such
pillars of strength, and yet, at the same time, they were so lacy and almost delicate.
Or how about that gondola ride in Venice, gliding silently down a hidden canal as the gondolier sang softly behind
you, the light reflecting off the water.
MMaybe the glitz and glamour of Vegas is more your style, strolling up and down the Strip while each property tries to outdo the other with dancing water fountains, exploding
volcanoes, and the re-creation of entire cities.
QuQuite possibly your favorite travel moment was discovering the flower vendors at Pike Place Market in Seattle, a riot of color on an otherwise dreary day, and sampling the sun
drenched cherries fresh from the orchard.
Through art, I have captured the essence of these places, by preserving the sights, sounds, smells and even the
tastes that are experienced.
KKaleidEscapes begin as photos that I have taken of famous buildings and landmarks, or local flora and fauna, as I have traveled throughout the US and Europe. These photos are digitally manipulated to create stunning kaleidoscopic images, which are then used to create dimensional art framed in shadow boxes as well as coasters and trivets.
They weThey were created to evoke memories of favorite places and special vacations, and as an alternative to the standard souvenirs on the market today. They were created to commemorate architecture and history, and to celebrate life’s beautiful moments. Customers are drawn to them because they are different, but they connect with them because of the time and place that they represent.
KKaleidEscapes offer an exciting new way to view some of the world’s most beautiful and revered images. Flora and Fauna, a kaleidoscope of colors in vibrant orange, electric blue, and bright red, work wonderfully in modern homes and kitchens, while the warm earth tones of stone and structure complement any decor style and command a
presence in any room of the home.
They aThey are the perfect gift, a treasured memory, a pop of color where you need it most!
