Select “Keyword” from the drop-down menu.

Refining Your SearchO You may have to try different

keywords to find the specific information you’re looking for. Try using synonyms and/or related terms. Global Warming, for example:O Synonyms: Climate Change,

Greenhouse Effect, etc…O Related Terms: Pollution, Fossil

Fuels, Carbon Dioxide, Renewable Energy, Automobiles, etc…

Results Page

OBrowse the list of results.

OClick on an item’s title to view information specific to that item (the Item Record).

The Item RecordO Location and Status: If the location

is “Aiken” and the status is “Available”, you can check it out.

O Call Number: Corresponds to the book’s location on the shelf. You will either need to:O Write down the Call NumberO Send it to yourself as a Text Message

Checking Out Items

OOnce you’ve found the item you’re looking for, you can check it out at the Circulation Desk, using your student ID card.
