    Shaft size is determined from power, revolutions and type of drive; also by the need of avoiding torsional vibrations. The exact diameterA should agree with one alternative in dimension table for the style of bearing chosen (FF,FTF or G)

    Collar size is governed by the shaft diameterand the thrust load. Thickness X and diameter Yare given, for each nominal bearing size,in the dimension tables, and should be strictlyfollowed
