Step 1

Select “Title” from the

drop-down menu.

O Type the exact title into the

search box.

O Note: If you do not remember

the exact title, try searching

Google or Amazon first. Then

copy and paste the title into the

catalog search box.

O At this point, you will either:

OBe taken to a page of information

specific to that item.

OR

O Be taken to a list of possible

results. If your item is there, click

on it.

The Item Record

O Location and Status: If the location is

“Aiken” and the status is

“Available”, you can check it out.

O Call Number: Corresponds to the book’s

location on the shelf. You will either need

to:

O Write down the Call Number

O Send it to yourself as a Text Message

Finding the Item

O Ask someone at either the

Reference or Circulation Desks to

show you how to find an item on the

shelf.

Checking Out Items

O Once you’ve found the item

you’re looking for, you can

check it out at the Circulation

Desk, using your student ID

card.
