ENG_Ceramica Mediterranea is the only Italian manufacturer of porcelain stoneware at Km 0, made exclusively with raw materials extracted and processed on the island by domestic hands.Tiles made in Italy with a Sardinian soul. The raw materials (sands, clays, minerals and feldspars) selected at the highest quality are extracted exclusively on site and allow us to obtain a very resistant product with a breaking strength above the average.

IT_Il nostro Gres porcellanato 20mm è un prodotto versatile

e sicuro, che permette di valutare la migliore soluzione di

posa per la propria specifica destinazione: da una più tradi-

zionale posa a colla su massetto, a quella su sabbia o ghiaia,

and makes it possible to choose the best laying solution for

any specific destination: from a more traditional laying with

glue on screed, to the laying on sand or gravel, to the sim-

pler laying on grass, and even the laying on a raised surface

with fixed or adjustable supports.

CARATTERISTICHE ANTISDRUCCIOLO (DIN 51130):

È una norma tedesca che misura la determinazione della resistenza allo scivolamento per pavimentazioni di ambienti di

lavoro e zone operative con superfici sdrucciolevoli. Il metodo adottato è il calpestio su un piano ad inclinazione variabile.

La classificazione per le caratteristiche antisdrucciolo prevede 5 gruppi: R9, R10, R11, R12,R13.

ANTI-SLIP PROPERTIES (DIN 51130)

This is a German standard that measures the slip resistance for floors in workplaces and operating areas with slippery

surfaces. The method used is treading on a plane with a variable inclination. The classification for the anti-slip characteristics

ANTI-SLIP PROPERTIES ON WET SURFACES (DIN51097):

This is a German standard for measuring anti-slip properties in wet areas. The testing method involves treading barefoot on

a ramp inclined at various angles with water running over it. The classification system for antislip properties is divided into 3

ratings: A, B (A+B), C (A+B+C).

IT_GRES PORCELLANATO

Le piastrelle in grès porcellanato sono identificabili per la

bassa porosità e la compattezza dell’impasto da cui deriva il

termine “GRES”.

Le superfici sono realizzate attraverso un processo di

greificazione di argille, sabbie, feldspati ed altre sostanze

naturali. Nello specifico Mediterranea utilizza materie prime

di alta qualità dell’entroterra Sardo, impastando a secco e

di conseguenza salvaguardando le risorse dell’isola. Il grès

porcellanato vanta tra le sue caratteristiche l’elevata resi-

stenza all’abrasione, agli agenti chimici ed alla flessione.

Mediterranea continua ad investire su nuove tecnologie per

ottimizzare la resa impiantistica e i cicli produttivi. Tracciamo

tutto con grande attenzione e valorizziamo la qualità dei

prodotti, l’uso efficiente delle risorse, e la salvaguardia del

nostro habitat.

IT_POSA IN OPERA

Le nostre piastrelle possono essere posate indifferentemen-

te sia secondo il metodo tradizionale (con malta

cementizia) sia con collanti. Noi consigliamo una posa con

questi ultimi poiché consentono di ottenere una maggiore

aderenza fra il sottofondo e la piastrella.

Il metodo tradizionale richiede una certa esperienza consi-

derata la bassa porosità di alcune tipologie

produttive. Si raccomanda di effettuare la stuccatura delle

fughe solo dopo un certo lasso di tempo dalla posa del pa-

vimento e del rivestimento cosí da permettere una perfetta

adesione fra piastrella e sottofondo. Le fughe dovranno

essere ben pulite in profondità

e poi stuccate con prodotti a base cementizia.

Il riempi-fughe applicato deve essere pulito dalla superficie

dei pezzi entro un certo tempo (specificato dal produttore

del riempi-fughe) per evitare problemi di ritenzione sulla

superficie.

ENG_PORCELAIN TILE

Porcelain stoneware tiles are identifiable by the low porosity

and compactness of the mixture.

The surfaces are made through a process of greification of

clays, sands, feldspars and other natural substances. Specifi-

cally Mediterranea uses high quality raw materials of the Sar-

dinian hinterland, mixing dry and consequently safeguarding

the resources of the island. The porcelain stoneware boasts

among its characteristics the high resistance to abrasion,

chemicals and bending. Mediterranea continues to invest in

new technologies to optimize plant performance and pro-

duction cycles. We track everything with great attention and

value the quality of products, the efficient use of resources,

and the protection of our habitat.

ENG_LAYING

The tiles can be installed either with cement mortar or with

adhesives. We recommend laying using the latter because it

allows for greater adherence between the substrate and the

tile. The installation with cement mortar requires experience

considering the low porosity of tiles. It is recommended to

grout the joints some time from the installation of the floor

and wall tiles, for a perfect adhesion between tile and sub-

strate. Joints must be thoroughly cleaned and then grouted

with cement-based products.

Grout applied must be cleaned from the surface of the tile

within a specific time (recommended by the grout manu-

facturer) to avoid grout retention issues.
