SALE NOTES

This Saturday May 14th 2016 monthly Auction Sale here at Bourton, amounts to 500+ selected lots and includes an excellent and large specialist Gem set Gold and Silver Antique and Modern Jewellery and Silverware section. Entries of assorted new teak Garden Furniture also compliment this most established of North Cotswold’s auction sales. Our next Fine Art & Antiques sale is to take place at The Pittville Pump Room, Cheltenham, on Thursday 23rd June, entries presently invited, please telephone auctioneer Martin Lambert for more information (live internet bidding at these thrice yearly prestigious events).

SALE TIME: at 10.00 a.m. with simultaneous selling of the Outside Effects.

BUYER’S NUMBERS will be used at this sale. Please register beforehand.

VIEWING: On the Friday afternoon prior to the sale from 1.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. and on the Morning of Sale from 7.30 a.m. until the sale time at 10.00am. As some items are not inspected by the Auctioneers prior to cataloguing, we strongly recommend that you telephone us before travelling a long way to view a specific item.

CAR PARKING: There are good car parking facilities. Please do not park between the Sale Room and the Restaurant/Bar.

ATTENDANCE RISK: All Persons attending on the viewing and sale days do so entirely at their own risk and neither the Vendors nor the Auctioneers will be responsible for any accident, injury, damage or loss whatever or however incurred.

METHOD OF PAYMENT: All lots to be paid for before removal on the day of sale. Cheques from Persons not known to us only accepted up to the value of a valid cheque card, unless prior arrangements have been made with us, please telephone 01451 821666. We can now accept Debit Cards as payment for auction lots but regretfully not Credit Cards at this monthly sale. PLEASE NOTE; we regret we are unable to take Debit Card or Credit Card payments ‘over the Telephone’ after the sale.

COMMISSIONS: The Auctioneers will faithfully execute written commission bids without charge, but without accepting responsibility for any oversight. The Auctioneers will not be held responsible for any bids left with the sale porters & not left on proper commission bid forms. Telephone Bids can only be accepted on items deemed to have a value of over £1,000.

BUYER'S PREMIUM: The purchaser shall pay the hammer price together with a premium of 15% of the hammer price exclusive of VAT which will be added.

CLEARANCE: All lots must be cleared by 4.00 p.m. on the day of sale. Arrangements may be made through the Auctioneers to deliver furniture locally on the Monday following the sale, subject to an appropriate charge.

CONDITIONS OF SALE: will be exhibited on the premises on day of sale.

A NO SMOKING at any time policy is in force throughout the Saleroom

LIGHT REFRESHMENTS: will be available on the sale day.

ANTIQUE VALUATION MORNINGS, Each Wednesday morning (9.00am – 1.00pm) at the Bourton Office (Please call for an appointment or we will be pleased to travel for larger items)

REMOVAL CHARGES: Please note, purchased goods must be collected and paid for on the Sale day afternoon otherwise a storage charge of £10 per item of furniture per week will be levied for all items not collected on the sale day and taken back to our warehouse.
