The content is distributed into two CDs because dancing in an alegrías style is divided into several different parts: baile,silencio, escobillas,... The first CD includes the rhythms of alegrías in two speeds: slow and fast. The second one is dedicatedto the study of the taconeo (a rhythmic combination of sounds made by stepping with the heel of the foot) and includesescobillas (a section of the dance that includes the zapateado, a rhythmic combination of sounds made by stepping with thetoe, sole and heel of the foot) in three speeds, to practice all kinds of taconeo without interruption. The Fiestas are often spontaneous and may be performed standing, sitting, whenever or wherever the moment asks for it.These days not everyone knows how to mark time well when it comes to song or dance, it might be that in any get-togetherwith a number of people there are only one or two who know how to carry the rhythm and mark time correctly. It isextremely difficult to sing or dance without the aid of the guitar but it can also be much more entertaining for the performers.For example the singers don't have the restriction of having to sing in the key dictated by the guitar, making it possible toenter in songs one after the other, each in their own preferred key. However, as many of the singers and dancers areaccustomed to being guided by the guitar, giving them cues to enter and cues out again, then this sort of performancewithout guitar becomes much more difficult.In fact the performers should not be guided by the guitar but by the rhythms. This is the main difference, in fact the mostimportant factor that differentiates Flamenco from other musical genders. "The rhythm is actually more important than themelody".
