Solar Pumping System Introduction

Multi-pumping system consists of several pumps. The pumps can be driven either by only one high-power inverter, or by several matching inverters. In the case of large capacity

are demanded, the operation of multi-pumping system is more flexible. By using the switching controller, all pumps run in MPPT mode when the irradiation is abundant; when

irradiation is not abundant, some pumps will be shut down and the solar array supply power intensively for the rest running pumps. Based on the optimization of single pump

system, the range of speed has been further optimized, and the system always works in high efficiency.

Single pumping system consists of only one pump, solar modules and one inverter. The aim of optimization design is to reduce the amount of PV modules used as much as

possible on the basis of fulfilling the water head and capacity requirement. The rotational speed of the pump can be regulated according to the actual irradiation: when the

irradiation reaches its peak, the pump runs at the rated speed and the output power of the solar array approaches the peak; when the irradiation is less abundant, the pump

runs in MPPT mode; when the pump has no water capacity, the system stops working. Thus, this pumping system is very different from traditional pumping systems in the

design, in which the system can be optimized according to the requirements of water head, capacity, and local conditions of irradiation.

Stand-alone solar pumping system consists of inverters, pumps and solar modules. The system can be used for agricultural and forestry irrigation, desert control,

and pasture animal husbandry, water supply for islands, wastewater treatment engineering, and so on. Instead of using battery to store energy, “SUNGEN” solar

pumping system store water to drive the pump directly instead of using electricity. It improves the reliability of the device, and at the same time dramatically lowers the

construction and maintenance costs of the system.

Application: city waterscape. Measured results in

sunny day: water head 11m, water output 130 m3/d.

System configuration: solar pumping inverter SG-PB1500L (2 units),

1.5kW AC pump (2 units), solar panels power of 4.4kW.

Application: SUNGEN solar pumping system is used for drip irrigation in desert

area, which enable it to cultivate special sand-spoliation plants such as Calligonum

mongolicunl, Tamarisk and Haloxylon trees, etc. The water head can reach 45m

and the output water is 36m3/h

System configuration: 11kW stand-alone solar pumping inverter, 9.2kW AC

pump, solar panels power of 15kW, and other devices.

Application: SUNGEN solar pumping system is used for irrigating economic crops

in desert with drip irrigation method.water head 33m, measured output water of

95m3 on 21st June 2009, irrigating land area of 17 acres (about 70000.35m2 )
