Ms. Elizabeth Kistler is our new Pre-Kindergarten teacher. Elizabeth will teach most of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd classes and will assist Ms. Jean Bullard in the Montessori Pre-Kindergarten. Ms. Kistler is a Holy Family parishioner, and as a student was a part of the Holy Family Home Educator group. Ms. Kistler received her Bachelor of Arts in

Elementary Education from Benedictine College in May 2018. She minored in Theology, and has been active as a catechist in such ventures as Little Flowers and Camp Schoenstatt. At Benedictine, Ms. Kistler was the President of the Hunger Coalition, a service organization delivering 175 packed lunches per week to impoverished people in Atchison. She enjoys singing, soccer, acting, and reading (especially anything by C.S. Lewis). We welcome her as a part of our Early Childhood team.

I B C ? We all know people (co-workers, family, neighbors) who seek to know more about the Catholic Faith. Invite them to come and ask questions! Classes will begin in late September and are primarily intended for those who wish to explore the Catholic faith with the idea of potentially coming into full communion in the faith of the Catholic Church. Classes are open to anyone who seeks a more systematic understanding of the faith and for those Catholic adults who might be willing to accompany candidates and catechumens as sponsors. Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) Class meets on Thursday evenings from 7:00– 8:30 PM at Holy Family Academy. If you are interested in finding out more information, please contact John Hartnett, Director of Faith Formation at [email protected] or 952.999.4822.

It is our goal at Holy Family to have at least two adorers present at each hour on the adoration schedule, so that every adorer can have a partner for scheduling back-up and safety during nighttime hours. We are always in need of committed substitutes! If you wish to adore at a time not listed, you are still welcome and needed!

Please contact:

Mike Zwack 612.710.5007 our Adoration coordinator, if you are willing to make an hour (or greater) commitment each week, and for information on the other times available. Currently, the times of our greatest need are:

Tuesdays 1-2 PM and 10-11 PM Wednesdays 12-1 PM

And urgently…Fridays 8:55 –10 AM Sundays 7-8 AM

The young ones (7-11) rehearse twice a week, and the older kids rehearse once a week, coming with the younger singers on Thursdays. The choir sings for the 11:00 am Mass approximately every three weeks. Special concerts and social activities are a regular part of the year's schedule. Tuition is $25.00 per student per semester (fall and spring), with a $60.00 family maximum per semester. For more information, call or email Scott Turkington, 952.999.4887 [email protected].
