Advanced material definition tomatch reality Designers can easily apply materialdefinitions using standard Windowsdrag-and-drop or cut-and-pastemethods and edit/modify them in the3D context. CATIA Renderingprovides a library of 203 predefinedmaterials ready to apply. Thesepreset materials are based on 20CgFx shaders to provide highlyrealistic results.

Creation and manipulation ofscenes CATIA Rendering provides all thecapabilities needed to author ascene. You can define cameras, lightsources, environments, as well asstickers so that you can visualizeyour product within its context andcreate several labeling and graphic

variants on a product for review. Italso includes a library of more than ahundred predefined scenes (includingbackgrounds and tuned lights),allowing occasional users to directlyrender mock-ups out of the box,without having to setup a stage bythemselves.

Someambiences are adapted for designcreation and other are for designreview activities. Interactive ray-tracing based onmental images iray® CATIA Live Rendering is aninteractive, physically correct, andphoto-realistic rendering solution,based on ray tracing engine iray®from mental images, that is fast andsimple to use. CATIA Live Renderingis as simple as a Camera. You selectyour lighting environment from alibrary of HDRI (High dynamic RangeImage), then apply and tune yourmaterial color & settings andinteractively choose your point ofView. Producing your high endrendering is only a print screen or-save as- image workflow.
