1. We use “let” to allow someone to do something.

Form: [let + person + verb] Ex : John let me drive his new car. Will your parents let you go to the

party? I don't know if my boss will let me

2. We use “ make” to force someone to do something.

Form : [make + person + verb]Ex: My teacher made me apologize for

3. We use causative have when arranging for someone to do something for us or to give someone the responsibility to do something.

- I had the mechanic check the brakes - They had their car repaired. (they

arranged for someone to repair it )- I had my hair cut yesterday. (I went to

the hairdresser )

* We can also use to have someone do something to talk about giving instructions or orders.
