Radical RabbitsRadical Rabbits
1. Look online or in books for examples of images of rabbits.
2. After you have shared visual examples with your child, take out two paper plates.
3. Cut one paper plate in half, this plate is going to be the ears of the rabbit, the other whole plate is going to be the head.
4. Using the templates provided, have your child color in the features provided.
5. Once colored in, cut each out and put aside.
6. Have your child choose a color to paint their rabbit and paint both plates.
7. Allow both plates to dry.
8. Once the ears and head are dry, glue the edge of each ear to the back of the whole paper plate.
9. Then, glue the features onto the rabbit’s head.
10. Glue the pipe cleaners onto each cheek to create the whiskers (hot glue is recommended for gluing these).
11. A string, in a loop shape, can be attached to the top of the head if you want to hang it up without damaging the rabbit’s head.
***To make the lesson more individualized have the child draw their own features for the rabbit and cut them out rather than using the print-
able***
