T he harmony of classic and contemporary strikes an elegant chord throughout this magnificent ship.

Images and features from her predecessors, Queen Elizabeth and QE2, sit comfortably alongside her

modern charm. Entertainment ranges from lavish high-tech musical productions to the timeless refinement of

garden parties, Ivor Novello-style evenings around the piano and Grand Balls at sea. Opportunities for relaxation

stretch from the simple pleasures of a 6,000 book library to state-of-the-art spa treatments, films from the golden

era, or viewing the unique collection linking Cunard with royalty and British maritime heritage. All the while, our

White Star Service creates the most welcoming ambience for her privileged guests.

Within Queen Elizabeth’s sleek lines, the lavishness of eras past meets the thrilling future of ocean travel.

Welcome, then, to the next elegant chapter in Cunard history.

OUR GRAC IOUS NEW CUNARDER

Autumn 2010 will further enhance Cunard’s illustrious reputation for exquisite ocean

travel with the arrival of our newest liner, Queen Elizabeth. Recalling the rich heritage

of the first Cunarder to bear the name, her elegance both echoes that legendary age and

enhances her luxurious modern allure.

CREAT E A GRAND S TAGE

Relive in modern glamour high society events of

the 1930s and 1940s as you grace ornate

rooms whose rich décor recalls the halcyon days

when our first Queen Elizabeth ruled the waves.

Your entrance into this graceful realm is dramatic indeed, as you

encounter the curved staircases, geometric patterns and spectacular

artwork of the soaring Grand Lobby. Overlooking its stately

grandeur is the two-tier Library, a calm haven of warm wood tones

bathed in natural reading light and crowned with a fabulous leaded

glass ceiling.

Opulent materials, luxuriant furnishings and art deco period

flourishes create a stirring impression elsewhere on board, as you’ll

discover in the double height Queens Room. Here, sip afternoon tea

beneath ornate cantilevered balconies and specially commissioned

stained glass panels or waltz across the intricate wooden dance

floor, gloriously illuminated by the magnificent chandelier.

Grand Lobby (Decks 1, 2&3) Ensures a majestic welcome, from its marble floors up to the stunning chandelier

Queen Elizabeth’s impressive public rooms, adorned

with gleaming marbles, polished woods, delicate

mosaics and plush fabrics, lend a lavish tone to a

glamorous whirl of memorable get-togethers.

Foremost among these is the three-tier Royal Court Theatre, whose

private boxes and regal blue and gold create a sumptuous stage for

dazzling dramatic performances and illuminating Cunard Insights talks

by renowned guest speakers. An equally refined air surrounds the

designer boutiques of the Royal Arcade, with its curved staircases,

feature lighting and a strikingly ornate sculpture arranged majestically

over two decks.

As the perfect complement to these grand rooms, discover more

intimate venues like the Yacht Club, named after the aft lounge on

QE2, with 270o views in all directions and dancing until the small

hours. Alternatively relax in comfortable bars and lounges where

conversations flow as easily as the champagne.

Queen Elizabeth will simply thrive in sunnier climes,

as she encourages guests to venture out on to her

inviting expanse of open deck to be as energetic or

relaxed as they please.

Deck 9 is the centre of her al fresco world, focused on The Garden

Lounge, whose abundant foliage is bathed in natural light from

the stunningly vaulted curves of a conservatory-style roof,

inspired by the glass houses at Kew Gardens. What a wonderfully

atmospheric venue for occasional ‘Supper Clubs’ that combine

dining and dancing under the stars – with views of the adjacent

Pavilion Pool with its bar and whirlpools.

And when the warm weather entices you on to the spacious

Games Deck, you’ll notice a definite English country garden

ambience, with the gentle clunk of croquet balls, traditional

bowls or paddle tennis in the welcome shade of its canopy.

Arriving in Madeira in supreme

modern luxury, venture back to the

15th century aboard a replica of

the Santa Maria.

Bird of Paradise flower, The Canary Islands

A sparkling debut amidst Iberian harbours and the Canary Islands

After the excitement of a first departure from her home port of Southampton, Vigo provides your gateway to the splendour of

sacred Santiago de Compostela, Lisbon reveals its hilltop Castle of St George, and ancient Cadiz invites you to savour Jerez de la

Frontera, Spain’s sherry capital. Further south you’ll visit Gran Canaria – a continent in miniature – and Tenerife, dubbed the

island of eternal spring for its mild year-round climate. Up ahead, admire the antique wooden balconies of Santa Cruz and lush

blooms of almost every hue on the garden paradise of Madeira. Perhaps your fondest discovery, however, will be Queen Elizabeth

herself during three full days at sea on your leisurely homeward route.

In common with standard industry practice, should it become clear during the building of the ship that itwill be possible to take delivery earlier than currently scheduled, there may be a short ‘Proving Voyage’offered for sale (as was the case back in 1969 with QE2). Should we be advised that a ‘Proving Voyage’will be possible, we will publicise it for sale. This short voyage would ensure that the ship is fully readyfor her Maiden Voyage, the first voyage after her naming.

In Lisbon, venture to Belém where

you can visit the watchtower, the

Monument to the Discoveries and

the Jeronimos Monastery where

Vasco da Gama is buried.

Vigo, Spain

An exciting adventure in the footsteps of great explorers

As you near Vigo, anticipate reaching the end point of many a great pilgrimage, Santiago de Compostela, with its awesome

twin-spired cathedral. Lisbon is no stranger to famed navigators, nor Cadiz at the heart of ancient and Moorish trade routes.

Further South in Las Palmas, admire the attractive Casa Colón, where Columbus reputedly stayed before reaching the New World

in 1492. After pausing to bask on Tenerife’s black sand beaches, imagine Columbus’s historic voyage at the Naval Museum,

housed in replica of his legendary ship Santa Maria. Before your return, gaze wistfully west across the Atlantic waves with the

explorer’s statue in Funchal’s Santa Catarina Park.

Join in Queen Elizabeth’s first seasonal celebration

Complete an incredible Atlantic circuit as you first sail south to Madeira, perhaps ascending by cable car to the palace and

botanical gardens at Monte, before the Caribbean beckons. From the tiny sailor’s paradise of Tortola, delve into St Lucia’s

lush botanical gardens whose greenery is splashed with the vibrant hues of hibiscus, orchids and parrots. In Dominica seek

out the Kalinago Barana Autê cultural village for an enthralling insight into Kalingo Indian life; in Bridgetown, sip oh-so-British

afternoon tea or sample Bajan-style flying fish fresh from the grill; the next day, select from over 350 Antiguan beaches. And

your first land sighting of the New Year will be the Azores, fabled to be the lost world of Atlantis.
