JANUARY 22 – 24, 2019

HOSTED AT:

C C C A M I D - A T L A N T I C S E C T I O N A L C O N F E R E N C E

“It is my conviction that Christianity is most

true to itself when involved in the risky

business of cultural engagement and hence

my research, teaching, and strategic planning

interests follow that idea.”— JIM EHRHAM, General Session Speaker

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENTAre the risks really worth it? Being a servant of Jesus at camp can be Risky Business. We must look beyond ourselves and be vulnerable to the campers and guests we serve. This does not come naturally. That is why you need to be with us at the CCCA Mid-Atlantic Sectional Conference.

Come to a place where you will be welcomed and encouraged. Come to a place where people ‘get it’, and you are understood. Once here you will be energize to go back out there and engage a diverse world for Jesus Christ.

We look forward to seeing you at Black Rock.

— MIKE GEHLERT, President, Mid-Atlantic Section, CCCA

SpeakerJim Ehrham

Jim currently serves as the Dean of Academic Programs at Evangelical Seminary. He was formerly the Executive Director of Love 146, an anti-human trafficking organization based in New Haven, CT. He was also the Executive Director of World Christianity Initiative at Yale University, focusing on engaging the explosive growth of the worldwide church. Before that, he served as Director of Global Ministries for the Evangelical Congregational Church.

Jim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The Pennsylvania State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Masters of Arts in World Christianity and Mission from Yale University. He is currently pursuing his PhD at Eastern University.

Welcome to the Rock!

The Psalmist says: “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

As you prepare for the summer please take this time to be encouraged and refreshed. I want to encourage you to spend time in the next few days and rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Enjoy your time sitting by the fire, walking on our trails and resting.

Our team at Black Rock Retreat is so excited to be able to play a small part and serve you while you are here. The team has been working hard to prepare for your arrival. We pray you enjoy your time connecting with new friends

and fellowshipping with ones you have journeyed with over the years.

What a great opportunity we get to serve God in Christian camping, it is our hope and prayer that thousands of kids will have an amazing summer this year at your camps.
