Dear Parents,
Greetings from DPS fraternity!!
As you are aware that CBSE had introduced CCE up to Class X. We are pleased to share the important
information on CCE with you. It would we helpful to you as well for your ward to understand the CCE concept
and the Assessment points on the basis of which the grading is being given to your ward in the School.
Basically entire session is divided into two terms and each term having 2 Formative Assessments and 1
Summative Assessment.
From class VI entire curriculum is divided into 3 Categories i.e. Scholastic, Co-Scholastic Area, Co-Scholastic

Marking System
Marking system of Formative Assessment and Summative Assessment are as follows:
1. Scholastic Area- Term1 (50 Marks) + Term 2 (50 Marks) = Session (100 Marks)
Term = FA 1(10% Marks) + FA 2 (10% Marks) + SA 1 (30% Marks)
Individually Marks of FA and SA will be calculated on 100 Marks, which includes:
y FA (100 Marks) = Written Test (20) + Class Room Assessment (15) + Homework Assessment (1
5)+ Activity (20) + Internal Assessment (20) + Project (10)
y SA (100 Marks) = Written Examination (80) + Project/Practical (20)
Other than this student will be assessed on his skills and attitude too. Certain points are as follows:
1. Attitude toward Teachers, Classmates and others
2. How much he is taking part in School Programs? If yes, then Commitment, Team Sprit & performancewill be assessed.
3. Their Social, Emotional and Thinking skill also will be assessed through questions based on daily routine
life conditions.
4. Students can choose either Performing Art (Music/Dance) or Visual Art under the Art Education. On that
selection s/he will be assessed in the entire session.
5. Students can also choose any two sports, in which s/he has to perform in the entire session.
