Introduction The Clearing Corporation of India Ltd. (CCIL) was set up in April, 2001 for providing exclusive clearing and settlement for transactions in Money, GSecs and Foreign Exchange. Introduction: “Collateralized Borrowing and Lending Obligation (CBLO)", as the name implies is a fully collateralized and secured instrument for borrowing / lending money. CCIL, as one of the systemically important financial services entities regulated by Reserve Bank of India, has enormous responsibilities in providing uninterrupted services to the Indian Financial market. CBLO: Is an RBI approved Money Market instrument; Is an instrument backed by Gilts as Collaterals; Creates an Obligation on the borrower to repay the money borrowed along with interest on a predetermined future date; Introduction CCIL has developed FX-CLEAR, a Forex Dealing System, which has been launched on August 7, 2003.
