WelcomeThis summer, we are celebrating 25 years of College for Kids! What began as a small selection of enrichment programs for children after school has grown to a year round program with an action–packed and academically rich summer camp component. As we’ve done each summer since 1989, our staff has put together a wide variety of enrichment classes for children ages 4 to 16, adults and working professionals in the community. Lifelong learning never stops, and I hope you take advantage of the awesome opportunities in store for you and your kids this summer.

This summer is full of brand new camp experiences for your kids. For the first time, your son or daughter can create game apps and video games, attend their first Pinterest Party for Kids, prepare for a zombie attack, go on a planet hunt, create a glam cake, explore their inner S.T.E.A.M Punk or excavate an archaeological site! We’ve also brought back some of their favorite camps including Lewis and Clark Junior Explorers, Little Stirrups, Junior Golf and Self Defense.

Adults are also invited join in on the learning this summer in workshops like Basic Auto Repair, Welding for Women, Photography Essentials, Canvas and Cocktails, East Coast Swing and Golf. Or, take a much needed day out of the office to brush up on Adobe Photoshop or renew your Food Service, OSHA, Flagger or CPR certificate.

In the midst of backyard barbeques, late nights at the office or road trips with your family, I invite you to squeeze in a little time to learn something new this summer. Corporate & Community Learning is your learning partner for life and we look forward to the next 25 years!

“The Welding for Women workshop is a great opportunity for any woman who wants to try something that she may have never had the chance to or even thought about. There is a lot of camaraderie between the women in the class. It’s a supportive, fun atmosphere, where women gain greater knowledge of the equipment and products for home or hobby use. It’s also empowering to learn a new skill, particularly one that is considered male dominated.”
