We welcome the new year with an extensive list of fresh ideas, wishes and wants for our Charlevoix County Aging Community and sta . We wish for you all a happy, healthy, safe and blessed 2018. May this new year provide us with a fresh slate to create new and positive experiences and may our collective vision for the future of our Aging Community, Senior Centers and Services be the driving force for excellent commu-nication, great collaboration and great compromise. With every new beginning there is excitement, hope and trep-idation. As C.S. Lewis said, “There are far better things ahead than any we leave be-hind.” There is also the need for active participation, clear and regular communication and the intention to always do better.
As we have said before, we are here to nd better ways to meet the needs of the entire aging community. We encourage all our county’s aging community to reach out to Sheri and me with your suggestions, opinions and recommendations. You can do that through a simple phone call, appointment,
or even though the COA Advisory Board Commit-tee and the local Senior Center Advisory Board Committees. We are all working together to respond to your ideas, needs, wishes and wants. Get involved, volunteer and be a part of the changes you want to see.
Please visit our ex-panded website at www.charlevoixcounty.org/Commission_on_Aging for the menus, activities, meeting minutes and updates; visit and like our Facebook page found by searching Charlevoix County Commission on Aging or just stop in your local Senior Center loca-tion to see all the new and wonderful things going on for yourself.
