This process is particularly convenient in the case of high precision, complex geometry objects, and can be used for a wide range of metal and alloys, with a broad scale of thicknesses. The individual pieces are kept together through tie-ins or tabs and can be detached manually or by a cutting machine. The application of this technology spans over virtually every market and is cost effective from prototyping to medium and high volume production. Chemical Machining S.p.A. has developed several partnerships with suppliers of finishing techniques, bending, forming etc in order to be able to deliver completely finished parts to its Customers Laser Micro Cutting: with this technology extremely high precision parts can be achieved with tolerances down to 3 microns on thicknesses from 0,05 to 0,8mm. Apertures of thin as 10 micron can be easily achieved Surface Mount Technology: through the recently acquired Seritronics the Company is now able to offer advanced stencils, printing screens, and thick film technology with several patented innovations to address correct soldering of microcomponents such as 0201, CSP etc. An extensive customer support is included which starts from consultancy at pcb design level to in depth analysis of paste deposit and process yield.

Photo chemical machining vs traditionaltechnologies: major benefits: -very low tooling costs -highest flexibility: cost is not dependent on complexity -very high precision, tolerances as low as +/-0,015mm -wide range of thicknesses, from 0,02mm to 2mm -no effect on the molecular structure of the metal:components are burr free while temper and magneticproperties remain unchanged; no strains or stresses aregenerated by this process. -Very short delivery time in the order of days -Competitive costs both for prototyping and formedium/high productions

Techniques such as half-etched bend lines facilitatecomplex hand forming of parts, saving the cost of hardtooling. Integrated marking reduces handling and cost..This feature is particularly useful to build EMI/RFIshielding On Customer request Chemical Machining S.p.A. isable to supply a complete service which includesgalvanic surface treatment, painting, Teflon coating,PVD etc. It is also possible to offer bending, forming andassembly of complete subsystems.

The features of our laser cutting systems allow tomeet the most demanding needs in terms of bothrequested tolerance precision and delivery time. Various types of metals can be worked such ascarbon and inox steels series 300, 400, 11R51,7C27Mo2… It is also possible to cut Molibdenum, Kovar,Titanium, Aluminium, and Nickel Alloys in general.Thicknesses range from 0,05mm to 0,8 mm.

Tolerances can reach +/- 10 micron and the featuresof the laser beam (kerf) allow to cut apertures as thinas 30 micron. The machine allows to work over an area of 800X800mm with a position tolerance of 5 micron. The software includes a camera driver which allowsto view and check all pieces built. Major application areas include high precisionmechanics and stencils for SMT.

SOCIETA’ ITALIANA per il CHEMICAL MACHINING S.p.A.

LASER MICRO CUTTING The process Laser technology has quickly transitioned from research lab to industrial production. Several features of laser beam make this technology particularly attractive: among all extremely tight tolerances and excellent quality of cut edge like in the new LPKF model 800 we have recently acquired. The cut speed has also greatly improved so that we can now guarantee a fast and reliable deliveThe tolerance of this system is as tight as 3 micron on the whole workingis also equipped with a camera for continuous control of parts being cut. With our new Laser Department we can offer the following benefits: Speed: 5 days typical turnaround time, down to 24 hourMetals: Carbon steels, inox steels seriee aisi300, aisi40Thickness. Generally from 0,05mm to 0,8mm Precision: Tolerances of +/-3 micron can be achieved Minimum quantity: onepiece Requested doc: mechanical drawing or sample Areas of application The main target fields for Laser micro cut are: very high precision mechalabs and Universities, where the requested precision is in the area of bewhere apertures as little as 10 micron are required

INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE ! Seritronics offers a full optimization service on eachaperture according to specific Customers need andfeasibility consulting on through hole componentssoldering with SMT technology. Consulting services on QFP, BGA and microBGAcomponents mounting which includes autoaligningeffect. Glue printing stencils with innovative solutionsTechnology suited for 04-02 and 02-01 componentsRework stations for BGA and CSP components Solderpaste depositing on CSP components. Seritronics patented Chamfering and Armouringtechnologies applied to SMD stencils ensure the highestprocess yield even for complex boards and the mostcritical components.

Service for Rework and reballing of microcomponents isavailable, with the possibility to deposit solder paste onCSP components: Seritronics can offer both the serviceand the sale of tools and relevant know how .

SERITRONICS S.r.l SMT / Thick Film SERITRONICS is specialized on production of stencils and screen frames for SMT and thick film technology since 1987.

Chanferered and Armoured BGA stencil (patent pending) Multi-level stencil for a pcb with PTF level

------->

With the introduction and heavy usage of small package components , the innovations introduced by Seritronics onstencil and smt frame technology become vital elements to get perfect solder joints; expecially on 0201, 0402 flipchips, and csp’s. Seritronics offers to its customer a the best performing solutions for smt stencil frame . Chamfered and ArmouredStencils with high stability net permit to have the best results on smt printing , longer time without changing tensionon the net and always ensure consistent results of printing . Seritronics research and development department keepscontinuously up to date on new packages and related file optimizations.

Our staff is available to help Customers solve particular problems like custom aperture on SMT stencil, Pin Through Hole components on SMT stencil, BGA self alignment . We also offer tools for testing the solder paste deterioration (solder – balling kit ), a special tool for stencil cleaning and other accessories for print screens. Customers that use CSP components can access a special service from Seritronics which consists of depositing the perfect amount of paste on the component itself; this greatly simplify the rework operation, which becomes even more reliable than the traditional system

NEW !!! BGA MATE-04 : New tool for Rework and Reballing : Benefits: 1. This tool permits to deposit the right amount of solder past to achieve optimum planarity and compensate manufacturer’s tolerances on balls size 2. Large printing area ( 80x80 mm) 3. Easy to use does not required specially skilled personnel. 4. Simple to check with 5x lens . 5. Easy handling of component after paste deposit , no critical procedure. 6. Substantial reduction of thermal shock on components. 7. Very simple insertion method in the nozzle. 8. Ensures total absence of voids and short circuits in the solder joint.

NEW !!! NET STENCIL ( patent pending) Thanks to Net Stencil, a new solution patented by Seritronics, SMT self tensioning frames approach the performance of the traditional ones. The net, which is chemically etched along the four sides of the stencil, provides excellent elasticity and a uniform tension . The process yield gets highly improved and the results are comparable to the most advanced traditional frames.
