Current Event Summary Facts Statistics show that more than

27 million people are trafficked around the world.

The Bureau of Justice statistics

estimated the United States had 2,500 cases on human trafficking from 2008 to 2010.

In 2006, a bill to amend the ITPA was proposed by India’s Ministry of Women and Child Development, which would decriminalize prostitution and instead would penalize prostitutes’ clients.

The people that are mostly affected are young women and men.

People can see that India is trying to decrease the amount of people being trafficking but my young girls want the American dream.

One interesting part is that the captors are friends with the people that they take the girls from

Understanding that human trafficking has happened over the years and girls are still gullible to go for it or parents selling them off which is unfair to them because they don’t have money for their daughters.

Parents should be more aware that young girls that go in to human trafficking are told false dream.

All the people in human trafficking should have the opinion of getting an education because they could be the next person to make our world better.

Education should be the first priority in any country because there are many brilliant people that can change the world in a good way like stopping poverty and human trafficking.

The author agrees that the Polaris Project has help girls that escape from human trafficking from on Underground Railroad in Washington.

The Polaris Project & ITPA should be all over the country to help young ladies and man to rebuild their lives.

India should be more aware of children and young adults getting push in to human trafficking and hurting themselves in many ways.

Human trafficking has affected India and all over the country and it has to stop because it will allow traffickers to perpetuate and sustain the slave trade and the violation of victims’ basic human rights.
