UC Del Sol Sponsorship Form

UC Del Sol is a girls’ fastpitch softball league that has been serving the greater University City area for over 30 years and competes against leagues all over San Diego. UC Del Sol believes that softball teaches girls not just how to play the game – and play it well – but also life skills such as teamwork, leadership, friendship, citizenship and sportsmanship. Many girls who have graduated from UC High School and gone on to college to achieve amazing goals started out as a 6U softball player.

UC Del Sol also strives to keep the registration fees affordable so that money is not a barrier to participation. Donations from local businesses are indeed a tremendous help with this; the money donated helps the league purchase softball equipment, maintain our fields and pay umpires.

Donations also help sponsor girls who cannot afford registration costs (“scholarship”) and also help fund a newly implemented lessons program, where girls can get a private pitching, hitting or catching lesson at half the cost. As a donor, you can direct your funds to any program you like (see next page).

UC Del Sol also wants to make sure your donation is not just a gesture of goodwill, but also one that helps your business. Banners can be hung at our playing fields (Standley Middle School and Hickman Field) where thousands of ‘sets of eyes’ visit each week. UC Del Sol also has its own website (ucdelsol.com), a Facebook page and a monthly newsletter sent to its membership where your logo can be placed. UC Del Sol also hosts events such as Opening Day where a table can be set up for your business.
