The plaMorm has four important areas: 1st stage: • Great Start English Course. • Open Skies (par6al exams). 2nd stage: • Total Learning. • Repository of Informa6on (Academic Contents for General Subjects).

In the first stage of this important project that will be available this semester we have:

The skills that can be achieved in this course, besides learning grammar are: • Listening. • Reading. • Wri6ng. • Speaking. These skills are emphasized with different ac6vi6es comprised in 12 units.

• The course focuses in making clear the gramma6cal elements, it gives the students the founda6ons that will help them to have confidence and to get language proficiency.
• It helps the students to fight paradigms, such as: “I can not learn this language”
“People will realize that I make mistakes” “People can make fun of me”
“I do not like being wrong”, etc.

• This course takes the students from a very basic level to an intermediate level (B1 CEFR).
• The course explains the students the grammar, the structure of the language, the components of the sentences and the most common doubts not only in a friendly users way, but also in their mother tongue (Spanish).

Total English Course
• This course reinforces the English knowledge of the students.
• It helps the students to improve the level and to reach a C1 (CEFR) level.
• It contextualizes the students in an English environment.
• It has instruc6ons and materials only in English.

The Academic Contents for Subjects in General This area of the plaMorm has helpful informa6on and useful materials that help teachers and students to learn different subjects in English.
General Characteris6cs
• The contents of Great Start and Total Learning do not match with the Didac6cal Sequences that teachers use in class but they help students to get a beNer development.
• The course promotes autonomy. • The par6al exams can be answered on line in the plaMorm or in paper version.
General Characteris6cs
• Students have to finish 4 units as minimum per par6al evalua6on to get the 20% of the grade.
• Due to the complica6ons of uploading students to the plaMorm and the advance of the classes in the first par9al, we recommend the teacher to give the students the 20% of the grade corresponding to the ac6vity work in the plaMorm with other ac6vi6es that were done in class or as extra curricular ac6vi6es.
