CEG supports regional economic development efforts through the sponsoring and marketing of the Capital Region as a premiere place for investment and job creation. CEG’s industry attraction efforts are directed at targeted strategic industry clusters that match our region's strengths, including semiconductor, renewable/clean energy, advanced manufacturing, bio-tech, information technology, logistics, warehouse and distribution.

Together with its regional partners, CEG participates in trade shows, industry conferences and events to market the region and conduct familiarization tours and sales meetings with site selectors, C-level executives, corporate real estate professionals and visiting delegations from target or prospect regions.

BUSINESS GROWTH SOLUTIONS

CEG’s Business Growth Solutions (BGS) offers comprehensive business solutions and resources to help our clients, and especially our core industry businesses, compete and grow in today’s markets. Our expert team and trusted partners, work collaboratively with clients on their top initiatives to increase sales, improve margins, and drive corporate value. BGS’s suite of services aim to improve operational performance, accelerate technology and innovation, identify new market opportunities, raise sustainability, and reduce risk.

CEG BGS is a designated New York Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NY-MEP) regional center, providing additional resources to state manufacturing companies.

TALENT ATTRACTION

SUPPORT FOR ENTREPRENEURS

CEG initiates collaboration with regional businesses, institutions, incubators, universities and investors towards developing a gap-free entrepreneurship experience. By engaging with our local ecosystem, CEG can help start-ups improve access to resources, identify potential investors, mentors and customers, engage with colleges and high schools, and provide coaching and guidance in business model development.

CEG’s Talent Connect is a service to help employers attract, retain and develop top talent in the Capital Region. Talent Connect provides two main functions:

Employers can hire Talent Connect to provide a concierge-style service to new, key staff members that are relocating into the Capital Region. We offer them a confidential service that helps them assimilate into the region, connect them with needed services, provide career support for the new hires’ spouse or partner, a professional tour of their city, and much more.

Talent Connect exhibits at job fairs outside the region to attract talent to look at the great companies we have in this area and to promote the quality of life we offer.
