SHERA plank is a unique composite of natural fibers bonded tightly in a high-grade silicate structure. This autoclaved wood grain siding acquires impressive toughness, yet remains flexible and dimensionally stable. It is a cellulose-cement plank that contains absolutely NON asbestos fibre. SHERA plank can withstand simple handling and installation and is therefore suitable for even Do-It-Yourself (DIY) segment. It comes in several sizes and textures with real remedy to wood-cladding houses which are severely affected by termites and humidity.

Handling & Storage

SHERA WOOD / BOARD should be stacked on dry and level ground. Do not install and paint Shera wood / board when they are damped or wet.

Painting

Apply appropriate primer on SHERA WOOD/BOARD surface for better adhesion and allow to dry completely.

Apply at least 2 coats of finishing paint. Please refer to paint manufacturer and SHERA product specialist for appropriate type of paint.

Make sure SHERA wood/board is dry during painting. ( moisture less than 15% ) Before painting, remove grease, dust or dirt by washing or sanding with sand paper. SHERA WOOD / BOARD can be finished with solvent based timber stain or water based emulsion paint or concrete stain.

Pre-drilling a series of small holes around the perimeter of the hole, then using a hammer to gently tap out the circular fragment.

Hole Forming

For best results, use circular saw with diamond blade. When cutting Shera wood / board, always work in a ventilated area, wear protective filter mask and eye protection. (refer SHERA material safety data sheet)

Circular fibers saw for cutting cement board with speed 13,000 rpm and 1,200 watts. MTEC MT 410 Diamond s a w b l a d e i s preferable.

Cutting MachineDrilling Machine

-Suitable for fastening timber (plywood) or fiber cement board to steel structure.-Countersunk rib head help to remove the timber or fiber cement particle when countersinking.-Special wings ream out the wood to PREVENT Premature Thread Engagement (PTE) into the wood prior to the drill point drilling through the steel PTE can cause point burn out and point failure. The wings will snap off upon contact with steel.
