The State Rooms
Immerse yourself in imperial flair at the
ALBERTINA Museum: for around 100 years,
the present-day museum building served as
the residence of Habsburg archdukes and
archduchesses. Bearing witness to this period
are the 20 sumptuously decorated and
painstakingly restored Habsburg State Rooms
that sweep visitors away into the magnificent
world of classicism with their precious wall
coverings, chandeliers, fireplaces and stoves,
distinctive marquetry, and exquisite furniture.

TERRACE
HALL OF THE MUSES The Hall of the Muses, at an area of 177.4 m²,
is the magnificent centerpiece and focal point
of the Habsburg State Rooms. Amidst the luster
of this hall’s stucco marble is space for a seated
dinner for up to 120 or a standing cocktail
reception for up to 200 guests, graced by
statues of “Apollo and the Nine Muses”.
Connected with the palace’s Gentlemen’s Wing
and Ladies’ Wing via large double doors,
the Hall of the Muses affords an imposing
view through all of the ALBERTINA Museum’s
Habsburg State Rooms.
7 THE STATE ROOMS
GENTLEMEN’S WING The State Rooms are divided into two suites of
rooms: the Gentlemen’s Wing on the Hofburg
side of the palace, and the Ladies’ Wing on
the Vienna State Opera side. The rooms on the
Gentlemen’s Wing are suitable for small-scale
receptions up to 150 guests and dinners for up
to 90 guests.

LADIES’ WING WITH TERRACE The rooms in the Ladies’ Wing are suitable for large-
scale events, up to 200 guests for gala dinners
and up to 300 guests for standing receptions. The
terrace, the centerpiece of the State Rooms, offers a
unique and stunning view onto Vienna’s Burggarten,
the magnificent Hofburg and the famous State Opera.
Enjoy your evening with a glass of wine as part
of a cocktail reception for up to 120 guests or
in the course of a delicious gala dinner for up to
70 guests.

Gala Dinner
A gala dinner at the ALBERTINA Museum is
an exclusive occasion which your guests will
never forget. Aperitifs are served in the
Harriet Hartmann Court or in one of the State
Rooms. Then comes a private guided tour of
the museum’s current special exhibition or its
permanent collection. These great works of
art are followed by masterpieces of a culinary
nature, as your guests sit down to dinner in the
luxurious surroundings of an imperial State Room.

Private Guided Tours
Experience the ALBERTINA Museum at night
with an exclusive guided tour outside of the
regular opening hours. Our guides lead your
guests through one of the current exhibitions
(tours are available in different languages).

State Rooms and let the evening fade away with

Weddings
Be among the couples to tie the knot in the
exclusive ambience of the ALBERTINA Museum's
State Rooms. Plan your wedding according to
your own ideas and wishes. The package for
your Dream Wedding comprises 2,5 hours for
the wedding ceremony and subsequent reception,
including flower decoration at the altar, in one
of the State Rooms to be chosen depending on
the number of wedding guests (for up to 25 or
a maximum of 120 guests).
