Inspiring excellence through people and culture — that’s been our mission in RVA for the past 60 years.

This year we celebrate our Diamond Jubilee, highlighted with a gala at the Science Museum Aug. 22. How do we help RVA businesses? We prepare RVA for the workforce of the future. Help business and communities embrace diversity. Assist employers in hiring veterans and providing opportunities for the disabled. Develop and mentor next generation HR leadership — college students and young professionals. Attract talent to RVA and keep talent in RVA. We are a strong force — 1200 members representing 800 businesses throughout RVA and beyond We are established — 60 years making a difference in RVA. We are active. We have troops on the ground with 200+ volunteers. There is no organization like Richmond Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
