On behalf of our wonderful School I congratulate our newly graduated Class of 2015 on their outstanding academic results in the recent Western Australian Certificate of Education courses. I am delighted to say that our students have continued what is now our eighth

consecutive year of achieving 100% WACE graduation rates and this year we are pleased to be a top performing school for Vocational Education. Well done to you all on this fantastic result.

Our vocational students have led the way this year. Congratulations to VET Prize winner Kelsey Atcheson on her acceptance into the highly competitive Cert IV in Nursing, Sarah Dawson who achieved direct entry into Nursing at Murdoch University and Tye Summers who has been accepted into the Australian Airforce as a technician. Our VET students leave our School ready to embrace apprenticeships, job offers and further study opportunities and we wish them well on this most exciting journey.

The Class of 2015 performed admirably, with 113 students out of 119 achieving an ATAR – a result of 95%. Over half of these students (53%) were awarded a score over 80, an excellent outcome which will see many students gaining their first course preferences. It is fantastic to see our students’ hard work and determination reflected in their end of year results.

We have had many students excel in individual courses. Congratulations to 2015 Head Boy Mitch Lockhart who was awarded a Certificate of Distinction (Physical Education Studies). Certificates of Commendation were awarded to Edoardo Anderle, Tanika Armstrong, Kelsey Atcheson, Connor Burrows, Jacqui Byrne, Hannah Daggett, Jack Eardley-Wilmot, Meaghan Green, Ebony Grigo, Hannah Jackson, Ainslie Jolliffe, Imogen Keall, Mitch Lockhart, Sam Riley, Liam Smoker, Tom Teasdale, Evie Ward and Sebastian Wilson. We also congratulate Tara Greenhalgh on her 2014 Course Exhibition (French).

The Class of 2015 will be remembered for much more than just their final results. Our students have taken advantage of a world-class education, participating in a combination of international, leadership, service, artistic, performance and sporting opportunities found nowhere else in regional Western Australia. They leave us as young men and women who have contributed greatly through leadership, sporting, co-curricular and community opportunities at our School. We have seen them flourish into fine members of our School community and we wish them all the best for their futures.

Head Boy

FROM THE

Some could say that we leave this village with some unique skills which might take a lot of undoing when we leave… But really, I think we leave here well and truly “raised” and “ready”. “Raised” in this wonderful village, by loving and caring villagers. And well and truly “ready”. “Ready” to leave the security of this community, “ready” to be grown-ups and “ready” to venture out and face the next phase of life. So, to all those who have contributed to our journey so far — it has been an honour to have been raised in this special village. Thank you.
