New Ventures!
CVAC offered a new two part workshop called, “Business of the Arts” fall 2014. Local artists learned from regional experts in accounting, copy-right legal issues, marketing, galleries and sales and social media to become a successful profes-sional artist.
“Something in the Wind” was a new partner-ship with Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park in May 2015. The two day event offered free family activities like, kite flying, childrens hands-on arts, and art vendors.
CVAC partnered with the Douglas County High School Mustic Program for a special FREE Community Holiday Concert in December.

Carson Valley Arts Council Completes Another Successful Year!

Art Incubators housed at the CVAC building include the Carson Valley Community Theater, Heartstrings, Dakota Organization, DCCA TV (Douglas Co. Community Access TV) plus space for several artists. CVAC sponsors the Record Courier’s Halloween Coloring Contest (now in it’s 11th year) and Gingerbread House contest for children.
CVAC is working on a new appraisal, architechural drawings and engineering studies to move ahead to the next stages of creating a permanent space for the arts in Carson Valley.
