Public Health Live! is important to me because it provides high quality
information in a professional venue that is appropriate for the general
public, students at many levels, and professional preparation. I have
used Public Health Live! episodes with undergraduates, graduate
public health students, and medical students. In every case, the level of
detail and professional quality was well received and added significantly
to my teaching. In every context, Public Health Live! has been an
important high quality asset, including educating Congressional staff on
key issues.
- David Hoffman, DPS, CCE, Associate Professor of Ethics and Health Policy, Maria College; Clinical Professor at U Albany School of Public Health; Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Albany Medical College Alden March Bioethics Institute
Students are encouraged to emulate professional behavior by viewing
Public Health Live! materials that are of interest. As an instructor, I
greatly appreciate the "certificate of completion" option that allows my
students to complete courses and gain supportive evidence for their
professional portfolios. Thank you so much for making PHL programs
available.

This information will help me present
to the Health Department the
information I need to think of ways to
disseminate that info to adults in the
community, encouraging adults to get
immunized.- Loretta Jaksic, from the Wellesley Massachusetts Health Department
I have 4-5 students every year
studying masters in nursing, in
community health nursing specialty.
The public health nursing (CE credits)
and information is very useful for us
to educate the community and rural
areas of our country.- Uma Deaver from Maharishi Markandeshwar University College of Nursing in India
From the start, the School of Public Health embraced not just the Public
Health Live! program, but the commitment to provide distance learning
opportunities for public health professionals, including advanced
degrees. The program has grown with changes in technology, the reach
of audience and quality of content and I'm proud to have been in at the
start and to continue to support and promote public health live today.- Public Health Live! Advisory Committee member Chrissy Dyer-Drobnack, from the New York State Association of County Health Officials (NYSACHO), who was present for the genesis of what became Public Health Live!
