Michelle Stern NY, violin _____________________________________ S. Barber - Violin Concerto, Op.14 _______________ G. Gershwin / J. Heifetz - "It Ain’t Necessarily So”

Michelle Stern, a 14 year-old native of Douglaston, began her violin studies at the age of 3 with her mother, Anna Heifetz, a distinguished violinist and teacher, and currently studies violin with Prof. Ann Setzer at the Juilliard School Pre College Division. Michelle was awarded first prize in the Young Artists Category of the Gershwin International Music Competition 2017 and first prize at the New York Music Competition and American Protégé Piano and Strings Competition. In addition, she was awarded both First Prize and the Grand Prize at the Concert Festival International, “Judges Distinction Award” at the American Protégé Concerto Competition, and “Best Performance Award” at the American Protégé Talent Competition. Michelle appeared as a soloist with the Connecticut Virtuosi Orchestra, North Shore Symphony, Island

Chamber Symphony, Concert Festival Orchestra and the Manhattan Symphonie at Lincoln Center. In the past season she performed in the Stern’s Auditorium at Carnegie Hall. She performed at the renowned Meadowmount Festival, gave solo recitals at Lincoln Center, The Juilliard School and was a guest artist on the PBS’ Artscene. Michelle is a two-time recipient of the prestigious Irwin Altman Award of “Excellence in Education” from District 26, Queens, and has received an honorary Citation from the City Council of New York for academic achievement and community service.

Born in Boston, 19 years old Mezzo Elisabeta Racolta, student of Mikhail Svetlov, is a winner of multiple international voice competitions. An avid recitalist, Lisa sung with the Concert Festival International Concert Tours in Portugal, France and Russia and became “Concert Festival International Soloist of the Year 2017” Award winner. She was a First place winner of the Rising Stars European competition in Latvia. In 2017, she also was a recipient of a merit scholarship from the FAVA William Lewis Mozart Academy appearing as Dritte Dame & Dritter Knabe in Die Zauberflote (Magic Flute) in Salzburg, Austria. In the New England Conservatory 2016 Summer Opera Program she appeared in the concert versions of ‘Carmen’, ‘L’Egisto’ and ‘West Side Story’. She performed Carnegie Hall four times winning early acclaim at International Music,

Vocal and Concerto competitions in 2014-2016. Lisa studies with opera masters and aims for a career of a professional classical singer. Her broad spectrum of a classical repertoire in six languages includes over 30 opera arias and art songs spanning the 16th through 21st centuries. She also loves religious music and often leads church masses in the Greater Boston area as a cantor. Lisa is deeply invested in studying music. She will be enrolling into conservatory in 2018.
