Share your videos and pictures of how special your mother is using:
The Diocese of Arlington and Catholic CharitiesAn initative of
Weaving a Family to Love Abbie and her husband knew
they wanted a family but were unable to have a child biologically. They choose to
adopt through Catholic Charities because of its care
for birth mothers, children and adoptive families.
Embracing the Blessing HomePregnant with her second child
and having limited career options, Emma turned to Catholic
Charities St. Margaret of Cortona Transitional Housing program.
Now, with a stable home and job and financial resources, she’s
teaching her children to focus on their many blessings.
Dreams for Her Children A mother of four, Soledad
couldn’t afford prenatal care when she discovered she was expecting her fifth child. She turned to Catholic Charities
Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinic to receive the sensitive, professional care she needed.
Making a Safe Haven for TwinsPregnant with twins and vulnerable in her native country, Oyin came to
Virginia in search of hope. She saw the “Pregnant? Need Help?” sign, called the Diocese’s Gabriel Project helpline and was sent an “Angel,” a volunteer, Angela, to mentor and offer material and
spiritual support.
In May, when the Church honors our Blessed Mother Mary, we also offer thanks to the mothers of our diocese.
Watch our videos of four extraordinary mothers sharing their stories and of children revealing how they love their mothers. Learn about the diocesan and Catholic Charities programs that serve them:
