Updated 18 February 2011
Bandwidth825 – 960 MHz NEXT G or GSM
With 8.1 dBi gain, these TC1600 models offer the maximum gain and reception range practical in a broadband vehicle mounted cellular mobile phone antenna.
Available with either a white or pink fibreglass radome, the antenna stands 2.2 metres tall and, for a vehicle, the Bull Bar is the mounting position recommended. Due to size, mounting to the vehicle guard, boot or mirror is not practical.
TC1600A Â is tuned for the NEXT G network.TC1600D Â is for the GSM network.
Matched internally by a unique transforming printed circuit board, these antennas are ground independent and do not require any metal ground plane to operate effectively.
The antenna is firmly secured into any 12.7 mm (½") minimum diameter hole using the bolt and spring washer provided. If required, the BBM-SS stainless steel bull bar bracket is available to order separately. The heavy duty stainless steel parallel spring dampens vibrations while travelling. 5 metres of RG58 low loss cable side-exits from the chromed brass ferrule. An FME female crimp connector is fitted to the cable.
These mobile phone antennas are identical in appearance to: TCMA675 Â , UHF CB Radio 477 MHz.TC1100 Â , AM/FM Radio Receive.
The antenna top whip only without any barrel spring is available to order separately.
The antenna top may be used to mount in locations other than on a vehicle, or to replace a damaged radome.

Installation Tips :
It is important to avoid mounting this on-glass antenna anywhere near heated demister elements or on any area of glass which contains metal flakes. When the mount location has been selected, typically high up on the rear window, wash the glass area inside and out with a detergent solution and wipe dry. Then use the alcohol wipe provided to further remove any film from the window area where the external antenna base and internal coupling box will be mounted.
The modern adhesive pads used have immense gripping strength, so much so that great care must be taken to locate the antenna base and coupling box exactly in the desired position at first attempt.
Attach the 4 metre RG58 low loss cable set to the internal coupling box with FME connector. Route the cable carefully to your car kit. The cable can be located in the head lining or under the carpet as desired. Ensure that the cable is not stretched excessively and there are no sharp kinks. If using any cable ties, do not pull so tight as to crush the cable. A damaged feeder cable is a cause of high VSWR and reduced performance.
If the FME Female connector fitted to the cable does not suit your car kit, then carefully fit the alternative Mini-UHF Male crimp connector supplied in it’s place, or other connector to suit RG58 cable.
The whip must be vertical for best performance.
Small and unobtrusive, an on-glass cellular mobile phone antenna is a popular alternative to other bracket mounted antennas.
Model OG835 is factory tuned to cover both the NEXT G and GSM cellular mobile phone networks combined.
With 5.1 dBi gain this on-glass antenna will improve your mobile phone reception range while travelling.
The Installation Kit Includes :
Alcohol wipe to clean and prepare glass inside and Âout.
Black removeable whip standing 30 cm tall. Â
External pivoting whip base with adhesive pad. Â
Internal coupling box with  FME Male connector and adhesive pad.
4 metres of RG58 low loss coaxial cable with ÂFME Female connectors fitted each end.
Mini-UHF Male  crimp connector also supplied.

At some remote locations or inside a building, cellular mobile phone reception can often be poor. For applications where the cellular device being used can be connected to an external antenna, then our popular SGDB Multiband NEXT G and GSM antenna can be mounted outdoors at your home or office to improve reception.
Order the SGDB-TPM antenna top alone, without the mobile barrel spring. Key features are : Â Multiband coverage of both NEXT G and GSM networks combined. Â Modest size at 80 cm tall with an effective 6.2 dBi gain. Â Omnidirectional radiation pattern. Â Completely ground independent, mount anywhere, no metal groundplane is necessary. Â Rugged fibreglass radome available in Black, White or Brown.
5 metres of RG58 low loss solid core feeder cable side exits from the aluminium mount ferrule. An FME Female connector is fitted to the cable for easy installation. Other connector options are available, or an adaptor as you may require.
The stud, nut and washer at the antenna base permits these versatile mounting options :1. Simply secure the antenna into any 12.7 mm (½”) minimum diameter hole, route the
cable and connect to your mobile phone.2. Fit an “L” bracket, such as our stainless steel model “GM1”, to any vertical panel or fascia
board. Insert the antenna, fit the washer, tighten the nut, route the feeder cable and connect to your mobile phone.
3. Order our model “4266” threaded aluminium mast mount adaptor, screw in the antenna and secure to a mast or hockey stick bracket with the “UB3SS” stainless steel parallel clamp. Alternatively, use hose clamps.

Bandwidth825 – 960 MHz NEXT G or GSM
If you require a cellular mobile phone antenna which is small, inconspicuous and virtually indestructible, then model CT800 for the NEXT G network or CT900 for GSM will be your solution.
These low profile, covert and rugged cellular mobile phone antennas are an ideal choice in situations where traditional whip antennas would be vulnerable to damage or vandalism.
Constructed from aluminium and delrin with a rubber mounting gasket, the antenna measures just 150 mm long, 32 mm wide and 32 mm high. It mounts to any flat metal surface by drilling three holes; two for bolts and one larger for the N-Female connector.
The metal surface acts as a ground plane and, if around 1 metre square, the antenna will produce a near omnidirectional radiation pattern with 2.1 dBi gain.
The N-Female connector protrudes through the metal surface so as your feeder cable connected from underneath is concealed and protected from damage. The thick rubber gasket provides a waterproof seal.
Typical applications suited for these low profile antennas include :
Trains 9Buses 9Forklifts 9Tractors 9Forestry Vehicles 9Logging Trucks 9
Police 9Ambulance 9Fire Brigade 9Emergency Services 9Security Services 9
The E-Plane above shows an elevated radiation angle like that of a traditional 1/4 wave whip.
The H-Plane is near omnidirectional but has reduced signal strength at the rear, typical of this low profile design.
