Objectives of the Workshop
The objectives are
identify and document the required business interoperability interfaces related to pan-European electronic transactions in public procurement document them as a set of technical specificationsThe UN/CEFACT standards are taken into account in order to ensure global interoperability provide support to pilot projects implementing the technical specifications in order to remove technical barriers preventing interoperability. The starting point for the workshop are the NES and CODICE customizations of OASIS Universal Business Language 2.0

PEPPOL
There is a strong link to the project „Pan European Public Procurement Online“ (PEPPOL).
The broader vision of this project is that any company (incl. SMEs) in the EU can communicate electronically with any EU governmental institution for all procurement processes
