Centenary Jubilee Gold Medal Scheme: Qualification Criteria

Introduction: On March 7th 1980 Hadrat Khalifatul Massih III rh announced a grand educational advancement scheme. He said that there should be no child left behind due to lack of funds for education. An important aspect of this scheme was the awarding of Gold medals to students achieving the top three positions in various university programs. Six such award ceremonies were held during the life of Hadrat Khalifatul Massih III rh. Centenary gold medals are the only medals which are awarded to bright students directly from Huzoor-e-Anwar. Below is the approved criterion of the centenary Jubilee gold medal scheme. This criterion will be applicable from September 1st 2015. Table

Guidelines/important points

The College/University from which the candidate has graduated must be recognized by HEC (Higher education commission). Applicable only for bachelors, Masters and M.Phil programs.

The College/universities for (bachelors , Masters and MPhil programs) must fall into Nazarat Taleem Academic Category University Rankings published on Nazarat website

Academic Category University ranking published on the Nazarat Taleem website are based on the HEC University rankings.

Universities are divided in to the following 5 categories for the purpose of Centenary medals (please note that these categories will only be applicable for bachelors, masters & M-Phil programs)

4 Computer Sciences & IT

5 Others (include :Agriculture, Veterinary, Law, Pharmacy , Commerce, Humanities , Arts & Sciences)

A university can be represented in more than 1 category

The student must be among the top 3 positions within a specified Academic Category university Ranking.

Any degree from the Distance Learning Institutions namely virtual university & Allama Iqbal Open University will not be considered for the centenary medals. In addition distance learning programs will not be considered for centenary medals.

For engineering & medical degrees the accreditation of the program/Degree needs

to be sorted from the relevant council i.e. PMDC, Engineering council

Some universities though present in the HEC rankings are offering some programs

which are not recognized by HEC. Position in such programs will not be entertained

for the centenary medals.

Students on the DEANS LIST from Lahore University of Management Sciences and

Lahore school of economics will be considered for the third position centenary

medal.

Fill the application form (can be downloaded from the Nazarat website)

Get the application form attested from local president of your Jamat or from the

Ameer Jamat

Attach the copy of transcript along with a proof of distinction/position.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ’s)

1. Who can collect the medals from Nazarat Taleem?

- The candidate must collect the medals him/herself. However in case of non-

availability the candidate can nominate anyone through an authority letter

to collect the medal on his/her behalf.

2. What is the way to give an authority letter for medal collection?

- Write an application to Nazir Taleem explaining the reasons for giving the

authority letter.

- Mention complete details of the individual given the authority such as

name, fathers name and NIC number.

- Get this application signed by the local president of your jamat.

3. Is Nazarat Taleem responsible for sending the medal to UK Jalsa Salana?

- No, Nazarat Taleem is not responsible to send the medal to the Jalsa Salana.

The candidate is liable to collect the medal from Nazarat Taleem

4. Are the medals only awarded at Jalsa Salana UK?

- No, the medals can be awarded at any national Jalsa Salana as long as the

Jalsa is being graced with the presence of Huzoor-e-Anwar atba.

5. What is the process of getting the medal from Huzoor-e-Anwar (atba)?

- The candidate needs to get the permission directly from Huzoor-e-Anwar

(atba) in writing

- The candidate must mention the following in his/her letter to Huzoor-e-

Anwar (atba)

o That his/her application for centenary gold medal has been approved

by Nazarat Taleem

o That the candidate wants to receive the medal from Huzoor-e-Anwar

(atba) at the Jalsa Salana. (Mention the name, country and the year

of the Jalsa Salana being held)

o Inform the local Jamat (where the Jalsa is being held) with the reply

of Huzoor-e-Anwar (atba)

6. Does the student need to be physically present at Jalsa salana for receiving

the medal from Huzoor-e-Anwar (atba)?

- With the prior permission anyone can receive the medal from Huzoor-e-

Anwar (atba) on behalf of the candidate

7. Does Nazarat Taleem provide for the candidates foreign visa and tickets?

- No Nazarat Taleem does not provide for any such arrangements.

8. Can I collect the medal from Nazarat Taleem in advance or will I receive it only

at jalsa Salana?

- Yes you can collect your medal directly from Nazarat Taleem in advance.

9. How long does it takes for the approval of my case?

- Normally it takes 2 weeks for the process to be completed provided all the

documents are complete.

10. How long does it takes for medal to be prepared after the approval of the

case?

- It normally takes six months for the medal to be prepared after the approval

of the case.

11. Do I need to inform Nazarat Taleem before I come for my medal collection?

- Yes, kindly inform the concerned department at Nazarat Taleem before

coming for the medal collection
