Jorge Beyer Barrientos,

Jorge Beyer B. Ph.D in Planning and Environment. M.Sc. Coastal Management in International Transport and Ports. M.Sc. in Ports and Coastal Engineering. and Industrial Engineer. Since twenty years ago, He is working in a Technical Consulting for private company and local government. In many areas such as Logistics, Clean Technology, National Land Development. Nowadays Mr. Beyer is a Professor at the School of Engineering, in The Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, Member of the Public-Private regional council of foreign commerce in the Bío-Bío region and Head Director of CIMP.

Rafael Aránguiz M. M.Sc. in Coastal Engineering at Technical University of Denmark. and Civil Engineer. Since seven years ago, He is working in a Coastal Engineering and Coastal Morphology in the Bío-Bío Region. He is working on numerical modeling of Tsunamis in Chile to. Nowadays he was developing research in the field of numerical modeling of the Bay of San Vicente, post 27F earthquake, in its morph-dynamic evolution. And today Mr. Aránguiz is a Auxiliary Professor at the School of Engineering, in The Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción and Associate Research of CIMP.

Omar Salgado O. ©M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering. Port and Maritime Engineer. Since five years ago, He worked in different country such as Germany, Panama, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Argentina, in project related with the study of the efficiency of the logistics chain, and maritime port developmment. Nowadays he is developing research in the field of Logistics and Maritime port development in Chile. And today Mr. Salgado is a Part-Time Professor at the School of Engineering, in The Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción and Head Project Engineer of CIMP.

Karem Urzúa M. B.Sc. Geographer, Since three year ago, She is working in a Technical Consulting for private company and local government. In many areas such as Logistics, Clean Technology, National Land Development. Nowadays karem is Assistant Research Full Time of CIMP.

PROJECT

Maritime Port Evaluation in Provincia de Arauco zone

Feasibility study of a Commercial Maritime Port, including analysis, development and implementation of a comprehensive model and location management., and implementation of road network. In Arauco's Province, región octave of Chile.

Business Potential Opportunities for Maritime terminal of Talcahuano San Vicente Maritime Port System. Chile.

The main subject of this project was determined a Project Portfolio related with the main activity of the Maritime Terminal Talcahuano. This Work was used with a special procedure for generating competing offers from different bidders looking to obtain the role of operation in the maritime Port or the business activity in works, supply, or service contracts, for this year.

Tsunami Modelling in the octave región, of Chile.

The main subject of the project was made several maps of Tsunami Risk in order to identify areas of Risk , and to set the foundations of the new Territorial Instrument of Planning in the costal system. This instrument was designed in order to meet the reconstruction and mitigate future problems, like Earthquake 27 February 2010 caused.

Public Policy, Integrated coastal zone. In octave región of Chile.

This project was focused in the Analyzing of social issues, economic, cultural and environmental topics, with the objective to set the foundations for new Public Policy in the coastal system and its development. This project was demanded to the Local Government of Chile.

Logistics Risk in the Bío-Bío región.

The main subject of this project was determined all of kind logistics risk in the supply chain of distribution in a Forestry industry. Focused in the transport infrastructure and maritime port logistics system. All this constraints was analyzing with a systemic process point of view.

International Mission: Argentina-Mexico-United State

CIMP worked in special mission in this three countries. The main reason of this project was know the main characteristic, function and implementation of NAFTA corridors, who links the two largest land gateways of North America, Detroit, Michigan and Laredo, Texas, and Mexico-Canada. With the idea of applied similar policy between Chile and Argentina in the future.

Technology Transfer Spain-Chile.

CIMP joint with the Private Council for the development Foreign Commerce of the octave region of Chile went together and they was looked the process of skill transferring, knowledge, technologies between private company and government establishment of Spain and Chile.

Diocesan Project: Support in the small bays in Arauco Región after 27 February 2010.

This project involves different alternatives, of the students of Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepcion in many initiative, all related with economics projects propose for reactivation of local economy. In a small bays and in Arauco región after 27 February 2010.

Ingenieros participantes del CIMP, realizaron la rehabilitación del paseo costero luego de que marejadas lo destruyeran por completo.

Maritime Port working cart

CIMP is the main private organization who give a special maritime port card to the stevedores in a Partnership with the National Navy. CIMP can be dictate two times in a year a capacitation, in themes like; Port Safety, Technical English, Cargo Techniques, First Aid. This topics are elemental requirement for will obtain the Maritime working card.
