Welcome & Announcements
Call To Worship One: We are the people of God. United in our faith and love we are family. All: We come together with song, prayer scripture and fellowship inviting all people to join our worship. One: Our loving, nurturing God, who, like a Mother, knows us intimately, loves us unconditionally and comforts us in times of need. All: Let us reach out to others imitating our Lord. One: Come then, let us worship the LORD! All: This is the God we honor and come to worship. Alleluia, “God Be Praised!”
Unison Prayer of Invocation
lead and guide us with all of our senses. Help us take the risks that are part of letting You lead. Clean our hearts, purify our minds and steady our hands and feet so we know and share Your blessings. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Gloria Patri No. 623
Anthem Eastertide by Roger Wilson. From the Chancel~ Four variations on a familiar melody, originally from the 15th century. Tempos vary, and harmonies become more complex, ending in the triumphant Amen!
Men: Sing to the Lord, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in His truth. All: Praise to the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.
Gloria Patri No. 623
Anthem Just a Closer Walk/In The Garden.
A composite today of two well-known, gentle, meditative hymns. A Closer Walk With Thee became very popular as part of church revivals in the 1930's and is extensively used during New Orleans street funeral processions. In The Garden was written in 1912 by C. Austin Miles, a former pharmacist from Pennsylvania.

Words of Welcome & Announcements
Call To Worship Psalm 149 One: Praise the Lord! All: Sing a new song to the Lord, praise Him in the assembly of his faithful people! One: Be glad, Israel, because of your Creator; rejoice, people of Zion, because of your King! All: Praise His name with dancing; play drums and harps in praise of Him. One: Let God's people rejoice in their triumph and sing joyfully all night long. All: Let them shout aloud as they praise God. This is the victory of God's people. Praise the Lord!
Responsive Reading Psalm 51:1-19 Leader: O Lord open our lips, and our mouths will declare your praise. All : Give thanks to the Lord of Lords; to Him who alone does great wonders. Women: Clap your hands, all you nations: shout to God with cries of joy. How awesome is the Lord most high, the great king over all the earth. Men: Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. Women: How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise Him! He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds. Men: Praise be to the Lord, for He has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my s strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. Women: Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the rock of our salvation. In His hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to Him. The sea is His for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land.
