• Recital (16):• legislation of a third country or• agreements between Member States and third
countries so allow
• Experience: 31 set up; 1 with Serbia (Bánát Triplex Confinium)

• Additional legal basis: Articles 209 and 2012 TFEU –• External cooperation
• Article 3a:• Member State where EGTC will be registered, shall ensure
that conditions are fulfilled and that third country has approved

those laid down in EGTC Regulation or• in accordance with an agreement between at least one
Member States and a third country
