This spring we will continue our Joy is Central series, inspired by Rabbi Buchdahl’s Yom Kippur sermon. These events explore ways our tradition helps us find greater joy in our lives. We encourage you to join us for all of our events and to check our website at www.centralsynagogue.org/joyiscentral for updates on programs and videos from your clergy. Here are two upcoming events in our series:

Shabbat is CentralFriday, January 25, 2019This January we will be highlighting the value of Shabbat, inviting our members to join together over dinner to relax, unplug, and connect. Our goal is to have numerous dinners across the congregation, and around New York City, spanning members of all ages. To make this happen, we need hosts! Please consider opening your home to others from the community. Visit centralsynagogue.org/shabbatiscentral to sign up to host a dinner. We will be sending an email in early January where you can sign up to join a dinner as a guest.

Reflection is CentralOngoing Through the Month of AprilThis spring we will embrace the Omer – the 49 days between Passover and Shavuot – as a time of reflection. Join Rabbi Nicole Auerbach for an evening of learning about the Omer on April 9, 6:00 – 7:30 pm, in the Pavilion.

If you wish to dive deeper and engage in weekly reflection during the Omer, consider forming or joining an Omer CORE Group. Visit centralsynagogue.org/reflectioniscentral to learn more and register.
